We were lucky to catch up with Hailey Crawford Pattong recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hailey , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
In the summer of 2020 I was struggling to find work but I knew I had a passion for photography and capturing those beautiful moments so that they were frozen in time for families. I kept trying to figure out a unique name that would stand out but also mean something more, this is when I decided to use the nickname my late father had given me before I was born and it’s the one that stuck throughout my life. So it was obvious at that moment that Punkin’s Photography had to be the name of my small business!
Hailey , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Hailey Crawford Patton, I’m 27 years old and from a small town in northeastern Oklahoma. As a teen I discovered my love for photography and capturing special moments. My favorite type of sessions are weddings and family sessions. I feel like my struggle in the beginning was figuring out how to market my business compared to all the big photography businesses around my area. That’s when I decided I would offer my services at a more affordable costs for the same amount of time and great quality photos!
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Friends and family who I’ve done work for spreading the word of my business and how great I am at communicating and making it work for everyone no matter their circumstances or financial situation everybody deserves beautiful photos!

Social media has been the best way to stay in contact with clients and follow up with them with their past sessions and if they need and new sessions!
