Starting my own skincare studio was a dream that quietly grew over many years—shaped by passion, experience, and the deep belief that beauty is a reflection of overall wellbeing.
My journey began in Italy, where I first trained as an esthetician. From the very beginning, I was drawn to the healing power of touch and the way facial massage could transform not just the skin, but the spirit. When I moved to Washington, DC in 2013, I continued my career in spas around Georgetown, learning, evolving, and connecting with clients who trusted me with their skin.
Over time, I developed a unique style—one rooted in European tradition but enhanced by advanced, non-invasive techniques like Sculptural Face Lifting and Buccal Massage. Clients began to notice not only visible results but a deeper sense of self-care and confidence. That’s when I realized it was time to create something of my own.
In 2023, I opened Skincare by Valentina—a private space where I could offer highly personalized treatments in a peaceful, intimate setting. My goal was to build more than a skincare studio. I wanted to create a sanctuary, where each client feels cared for, empowered, and radiant from the inside out.
Every treatment I offer is guided by intuition, science, and heart. I believe that taking care of your skin is an act of self-love—and I’m honored to be a part of that journey for so many beautiful people.

For those who haven’t met me yet, I’m Valentina Montevecchi—a licensed master esthetician with over a decade of experience in the skincare industry. I was born and trained in Italy, where beauty and wellness are deeply intertwined with lifestyle. From early on, I was fascinated by the healing power of touch, and I saw skincare not just as a beauty treatment, but as a form of therapy.
After moving to Washington, DC in 2013, I worked in several high-end spas in Georgetown, learning from a variety of approaches and refining my own. Over time, I developed a signature technique rooted in holistic skincare and facial massage—especially Sculptural Face Lifting and Buccal Massage, which are natural, hands-on alternatives to injectables or surgery. These treatments go far beyond skin-deep. They help lift, sculpt, and de-puff the face while also relieving tension and promoting deep relaxation.
In 2023, I opened my own studio, Skincare by Valentina, in the heart of Georgetown. It’s a space dedicated to thoughtful, personalized care where every treatment is customized. I offer everything from deep cleansing facials to luxurious lifting massages, diamond-infused “Red Carpet” facials, and curated wellness experiences. I work with clients to address concerns like aging, dullness, puffiness, and sensitivity—without ever compromising the skin’s natural balance.
What sets me apart is my hands-on approach and genuine care. I don’t believe in quick fixes or aggressive techniques. I believe in consistency, connection, and supporting each client’s unique skin journey with a mix of European tradition, modern expertise, and intuition.
I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built with my clients—many of whom have been with me for years. Seeing their confidence grow, knowing I’ve helped them feel beautiful and seen—that’s what inspires me every day.

The story of Skincare by Valentina wouldn’t be complete without the person who believed in me before I fully believed in myself—my cofounder, my partner in business, and my partner in life.
While I had years of experience, a deep love for skincare, and a loyal client base, I wasn’t sure I was ready to take the leap and open my own studio. It felt like a dream that lived quietly in the background—something I’d “maybe” do one day. But he saw something more. He saw my passion, my skill, and the way my work made people feel. And most importantly, he saw the potential.
He was the one who gently—but firmly—pushed me to go for it. He reminded me that I had something unique to offer, something that deserved its own space and voice. Without his support, encouragement, and belief in my vision, I truly don’t know if Skincare by Valentina would exist today.
He’s been by my side through every step. It’s rare to find someone who understands your dream so deeply that they make it their own, too.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe my reputation has been built on consistency, deep care, and a genuine passion for helping people feel their best. But what truly sets me apart—and what my clients tell me they love the most—is that I never stop learning.
I’m constantly keeping myself up to date with the latest techniques, tools, and trends in holistic and advanced skincare. Whether it’s mastering a new lifting massage method, introducing a cutting-edge facial, or refining my approach with new products, I’m always evolving. My clients know that when they come in, there’s always something fresh and exciting to experience—something they haven’t tried before but will absolutely fall in love with.
That curiosity and commitment to growth keep my work creative and my treatments effective. I never want to be stagnant in my craft. Skincare is a living art, and I treat it that way.
Of course, none of this matters without the trust of my clients. I’ve built that trust by showing up consistently, offering real results, and creating a space where every person feels cared for and understood. Word of mouth has played a huge role—clients refer others not just because of how their skin looks, but because of how they feel after spending time here.
At the end of the day, my reputation comes from passion, progress, and personalized care. And that’s something I’m incredibly proud of.
