Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bianca Joseph. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Bianca, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?

The most meaningful project I have ever worked on was my solo trip to Niagara Falls vlog. This vlog received almost 300k views on TikTok from me just being my goofy self. This made me take content creating seriously and led to many collaborations with brands. This was a time in my life where I felt lost and confused which led me to take a trip to get away, unknowingly that this trip would be the start of a new journey.

Bianca, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am actually a part time content creator and a full time social worker. Juggling both can be challenging at times but well worth it. I began my content creation journey after a silly vlog that I posted of myself traveling to Niagara Falls on a solo trip gained a lot of views on TikTok. It made me think that this was a safe space to be myself and really share my personality with the world. My videos include a variety of food, fashion, travel, and lifestyle. What sets me apart from others is my genuine joy of life and goofiness. I love to laugh, so incorporating little jokes in my videos makes it even more entertaining. Creating content is so fun to me and I would like for everyone to see this and how down to earth I am in my videos. What I’m most proud of is the way I show up for the people I love. I try to be really intentional-whether it’s planning something meaningful or picking out thoughtful gifts. Gift giving is definitely my love language because I just love seeing people happy. Honestly, it’s really my love for God that guides how I love others. I want the people around me to feel seen, supported, and celebrated, and I think that’s something I achieve on a daily basis.

How did you build your audience on social media?

I built my social media audience literally from being myself and staying consistent. People will watch just about anything as long as it is entertaining. Show your personality and do not care what anyone has to say about it. When I first made a TikTok account, I only would scroll and view other creators posts because I was super shy. I didn’t post anything but I remember having the urge to do voiceovers. I knew I loved food and I love to shop. I began posting consistently my outfit of the days and shortly after became a LTK creator and Amazon affiliate. Just posting my email in my bio and tagging brands in my posts got me countless paid collaborations. Sometimes I can not believe all of the items I receive just from posting a video. A tip I would give for someone starting out is not to care about likes or views. The foundation of content creating should be that this is something that you genuinely enjoy doing. Your supporters may take sometime finding you and that is okay. The likes and views will come with consistency.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

When I became serious about content creating, brands would reach out to me and ask for different things like a media kit (basically a digital portfolio that showcases who you are and displays past collaborations) I had no idea of what this was at the time and was about to tell the brand that I did not have one but something told me to do my research. I researched media kits and this let me know that they can be created for free on canva. I added everything in less than 30 mins, emailed the media kit to the brand and was approved for the collaboration. Canva is now my best friend. A lot of content creators may seem like they have it all together but a lot of us are just winging it. As long as you are consistent and resilient, everything else will come together.
