Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ginny Priem. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ginny, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So, let’s start with trends – what are some of the largest or more impactful trends you are seeing in the industry?
One of the biggest and most important trends I’m seeing in the personal development and leadership spaces are this: a growing rejection for performative perfection. I just did a post about how I used to be stuck in a people pleasing and perfectionism cycle on LinkedIn. There is a rising hunger for emotionally intelligent leadership. People are tired of being told do more, be more, and put a smile on their face while they’re experiencing burnout. Instead, they’re asking deeper questions like, “What ACTUALLY matters most to me?” and “What am I willing to let go of so I can protect myself and still get ahead?”
This shift is happening across the board in high-achieving individuals’ personal and professional lives. A recent coaching client told me, “I used to think leadership was about doing it all and never showing any cracks or breaks. Now I realize that it’s about being human, honest, and willing to say, ‘this isn’t working’ — that’s real leadership.”
That moment stuck with me because it mirrored what I’m seeing again and again. We are entering an era where “less is more” isn’t just a wellness mantra anymore. This is why I’ve created UNSUBSCRIBE™ as a leadership strategy for work and in life. People are embracing clarity and calm over chaos and implementing boundaries instead of experiencing complete burnout.
The concern is that this trend challenges the outdated systems that have rewarded overfunctioning and overwhelm for decades. It takes courage to lead differently and push back on the status quo.
The opportunity is massive! For those of us creating tools, language, and frameworks to support growth, emotional intelligence and MEANINGFUL success, we’re supporting individuals, but we’re also helping reshape culture.
What I believe all of this means is that we’re ending an era of hustle culture and we’re witnessing the beginning of something far more sustainable. By releasing toxic and unrealistic expectations around busyness, we’re rewriting the rules. And as people begin implementing my UNSUBSCRIBE™ filter into their lives, more people will learn to reclaim their time, energy and boundaries — in work and in life. I’m honored to be a part of this movement, helping individuals, teams and organizations create space for what truly matters. This isn’t just about personal growth, it’s the ultimate cultural reset.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
After spending over two decades leading high-performing teams in corporate America, I started to notice that even the most “successful” people were exhausted, unfulfilled, or completely out of alignment. And *spoiler alert*: I was one of them.
That realization became the catalyst for everything I do now. Today, I’m a keynote speaker, bestselling author, podcast host, and master certified coach helping individuals and organizations cut through the noise and get back into alignment. It’s really about tapping into their values, time, and energy with intention. Real leadership begins when people stop performing and start living in alignment.
My signature talk, UNSUBSCRIBE™, is being booked into Q4 2026 as of now! It’s highly sought after because it’s not just another locker room-style, rah-rah motivational talk. It offers something unique: a powerful and practical filter I created that helps people evaluate what they say yes to, how they lead, and what they’re willing to release to create space for what truly matters. The content is catchy, relatable, and relevant. but it’s also designed not just to inspire, but create a behavioral shift. That’s what makes it stick and why audiences and clients keep asking for it.
I also host a globally popular podcast and write a newsletter (both will soon be rebranded and refreshed with UNSUBSCRIBE™, so be on the lookout.) These are centered around personal growth, emotional intelligence, boundary-setting, and bold decision-making. My 3rd book is also in the works (full title and details to be announced soon, so stay tuned!) This continues the conversation with even deeper insight into how we free ourselves from toxic patterns, particularly in leadership, but also in life.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just teach mindset shifts…I LIVE them. My brand is rooted in truth-telling, transformation and practical tools for real life. Whether I’m on a keynote stage, rolling up my sleeves with a workshop, or conducting VIP coaching sessions, my work is about helping people make the next bold move. Because it’s never too late to pivot, refresh or evolve.
What I’m most proud of is hearing people say things like, “You gave me the language to finally do what I used to be afraid of.” That’s where the magic and work come together.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
My journey into this work began through a deeply personal and harrowing experience. I share all about it in my #1 bestseller, “You’re My Favorite.” At the time of publication, I was still in a high-level, demanding corporate leadership role. And to be honest? I had ZERO intention of ever leaving corporate America. I use to think people that left their salaries and benefits to chase a dream were…kind of crazy. Who would do something so risky?
But the funny thing about life is that sometimes you get redirected.
That first book was written simply to share my story and connect with others who had experienced something traumatic, painful or disruptive in their own lives. I wanted to be vulnerable and let people know they weren’t alone and that you really can come out stronger, wiser, and even more powerful on the other side of these situations. That book started gaining traction and I realized I could pair it with a talent I already had: decades of public speaking experience.
That’s when the spark was ignited. I began speaking on stages, connecting with audiences in a way I never had before. From there I pursued and earned my master coaching certification, launched my podcast, and built a brand around helping people take decisive steps toward a life of alignment in work and life.
And then one day — plot twist — the decision was actually made for me. My entire corporate division was shut down. Some might have seen this as a closing of a chapter. I saw it as my exit strategy being handed to me. The door didn’t close…it opened a completely new one. From that moment on, there was no looking back! It was the clarity I hadn’t realized I needed and the nudge that I hadn’t yet given myself. What felt uncertain suddenly became undeniable: this was the path I was always meant to take.
Today, I’m a keynote speaker booking stages well into next year, a master certified coach, and author of 2 books (and a 3rd on the way!), and the host of a globally top-ranked podcast. What started as a side project to share my story has become a business built around real connections, transformation and helping others fully step into who they were always meant to be.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
There are several different ways speakers grow their client list. Some will leverage speakers bureaus or invest in paid ads or big marketing campaigns. For me, it’s always been about warm introductions.
If someone introduces me to the right decision-maker and I can get in the room (or on a call) with them, I can almost always land the speaking engagement. Referrals from fellow speaker and former colleagues have been my most powerful source of new clients.
One thing I’ve learned here is that sometimes people try to be TOO helpful by pitching on your behalf. But the best connections come from a simple and genuine introduction. I personally haven’t used paid advertising, and while I do collaborate with several speakers bureaus, they haven’t been a primary lead source for me. I’ve found that it’s relationships that move the needle…every time.
