Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Larissa Droz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Larissa , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My journey into wedding planning began with one of the most personal and emotional experiences of my life—planning my own wedding. I found myself navigating endless decisions, unexpected challenges, and constant pressure to make everything perfect, all while trying to enjoy one of the happiest moments of my life. I didn’t know there was the exitance of a wedding professional who could have helped me.
Through the planning process, I realized how much support couples truly need—not just logistically, but emotionally. That experience planted a seed in me. I knew there had to be a better way. I wanted to create something that would allow couples to feel seen, supported, and celebrated throughout every step of their planning journey. That’s when I decided to turn my challenges into purpose. I started my own wedding planning business with a clear mission: to take the stress out of the process and bring the joy back in. I wanted to be the person I wish I had by my side during my own planning. My passion in helping couples create unforgettable moments, without the overwhelm, so they can truly enjoy the magic of their love story.

Larissa , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a professional wedding planner who extremely loves what I do, but more than that, I’m someone who deeply understands just how overwhelming planning a wedding can be—because I’ve been there myself. When I was planning my own wedding, I was so excited, but I quickly realized how stressful and chaotic things could get. I had a vision, but turning it into reality while juggling a million decisions, family dynamics, timelines, and emotions was a challenge I didn’t expect.
That experience stayed with me. It opened my eyes to how many couples go through the same thing, and how much they deserve support—not just with the logistics, but with the whole emotional journey. That’s really where my mission began. I wanted to help people feel confident, calm, and excited during this special time, instead of drained or overwhelmed.
What I do now is help my clients bring their dream day to life in a way that feels authentic and stress-free. I take care of the details, the timelines, the problem-solving that may pop up—so they can actually enjoy the process and be fully present on their big day. I work closely with each couple to truly understand who they are, what they value, and what kind of celebration reflects their love story.
I think what sets me apart is that I approach each wedding not just as a project, but as a very personal journey. I’ve walked in my clients’ shoes, so I plan with empathy, with heart, and with a deep commitment to making sure they feel supported every step of the way. To me, it’s never just about the event—it’s about creating an experience that feels meaningful, joyful, and uniquely theirs.
Today, I specialize in full-service planning, partial planning, design, and day-of coordination from the big picture to the tiniest details.
Something I’m especially proud of is how often couples tell me that they felt completely at ease with me by their side and that they could actually enjoy their engagement and trust that everything was being taken care of. That, to me, is everything. It means I’ve done my job not just as a planner, but as a partner in one of the most meaningful times of their lives.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
This is a fun story to share, and also personal, romantic, and perfectly fitting for a wedding planning business because my business partner is actually my husband! We met, we fell in love, and eventually planned our own wedding together, which ended up being the spark that launched our business.
I met my husband at the end of 2016 when I was working as a babysitter to a family in Virginia, and the children’s dad introduced my husband to me. My husband Chad proposed to me after 3 months from dating each other. I know this was in a very short time, and YES, we just knew we were for each other!! We planned our own wedding in 3 months, so we were married after 6 months from knowing each other! (Today we have 2 beautiful children named Violet (5 years old) and Connor (3 years old)
After our wedding, we looked at each other and said, “We could actually do this—for real—for other couples.” And that’s exactly what we did.
Now, running a wedding planning business together feels like an extension of our love story. We’re partners in every sense of the word, and we’re so proud to help other couples celebrate the start of their forever, just like we did.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
For me, the most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been a combination of consistently delivering excellent work and building genuine relationships—with both venues and couples. I believe that when you focus on doing great work, people notice. Every wedding is an opportunity to not just serve a couple, but also to show venues, vendors, and other professionals what it’s like to work with me.
One of my key focuses has been developing strong partnerships with venues. I make it a point to go above and beyond during every event, making sure everything runs smoothly not only for the couple, but for the venue staff as well. That level of care and professionalism tends to get noticed—and as a result, venues are confident recommending me to their clients. It becomes a win-win.
At the same time, I put a huge emphasis on building trust throughout the planning process with each couple I work with. I show up, I listen, and I follow through. I think people remember how you make them feel—especially during such an emotional time—so when couples feel truly supported and taken care of, they naturally want to refer you to their friends and family.
In the end, my strategy isn’t flashy—it’s about consistency, integrity, and relationships. Doing a great job speaks louder than any sales pitch ever could.
