We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Whitney Duhart a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Whitney, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
One of the biggest risks I’ve ever taken was stepping away from the traditional 9–5 path to start my own business in the beauty and wellness industry—without a roadmap, mentor, or financial safety net. At the time, I was juggling a lot. I am a wife, a mother of two toddlers, and I was working multiple jobs just to keep things afloat. But I had a vision: to create something of my own that would help women feel confident, powerful, and seen.
Launching my business, Be Naked, was both exciting and terrifying. I didn’t have a big budget or a team behind me. What I had was passion, determination, and a deep belief that I could make this work. I invested in training, stayed up late building my brand, and kept going even when I had doubts.
It wasn’t easy. I faced slow seasons, burnout, and the pressure of balancing business with marriage and motherhood. But I stayed consistent, kept learning, and focused on building real connections with my clients.
Eventually, things started to shift. Clients began rebooking. My calendar filled. I added paramedical tattooing and began teaching body sculpting to other women ready to start their own businesses.
That risk completely changed my life. It gave me the freedom to show up fully—as a wife, a mom, and a business owner building a legacy. Be Naked is more than a brand. It’s a reflection of my journey, my purpose, and the beauty of betting on yourself.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I come from a background in the military and over 10 years in customer service and sales, which taught me discipline, structure, and how to truly connect with people. That foundation naturally transitioned into the beauty and wellness space, where I found my passion in helping people feel confident in their skin—both physically and emotionally.
After becoming a licensed esthetician, I specialized in body sculpting and advanced into paramedical treatments, including a unique ink-less stretch mark repair technique. This method promotes natural skin healing and helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks. It’s a safe, innovative approach that allows clients to restore smoother, healthier-looking skin without the use of dyes or pigments.
At Be Naked, I offer non-invasive body sculpting services like vacuum BBL, laser lipo, fat reduction, and skin tightening. In addition to these, I provide paramedical tattooing services and professional training courses that teach others how to master body sculpting techniques and build successful businesses.
What sets my practice apart is the personalized care, education, and genuine results I deliver. I don’t just offer treatments—I create a supportive experience where clients feel empowered, informed, and motivated throughout their transformation journey.
I’m most proud of building this business from the ground up, turning a passion into a thriving brand that stands for strength, authenticity, and self-love. Be Naked is more than a studio—it’s a space where people come to reclaim their confidence and celebrate their true selves.
For potential clients and followers, I want you to know that Be Naked is a place of healing, growth, and real transformation—inside and out.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been simply showing the results. I believe the best way to build trust and attract clients is by sharing clear, authentic before-and-after photos that demonstrate the real transformations my treatments deliver. When potential clients see tangible proof of what body sculpting and my services can do, it builds confidence and encourages them to take that first step.
In addition to showcasing results, offering body sculpting courses has also helped grow my client base by creating a community of educated and passionate individuals who then refer others or become repeat clients themselves. But at the core, it’s the visible, undeniable transformations that truly resonate and draw people in.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start?
When it came to funding my business, I was determined to avoid taking out any loans or going into debt. Instead, I chose to self-fund by working multiple jobs simultaneously—juggling two side jobs on top of running my main business. It wasn’t easy, but the hard work and hustle allowed me to build Be Naked on my own terms, without relying on outside funding.
My husband has also been a great support, contributing where he can, which has made the journey a true partnership. Being self-funded has given me complete control over my business decisions and reinforced the value of persistence and sacrifice.
