We recently connected with Rachel Morgan and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Rachel thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
One of the biggest things that sets Pampered Pooch Events apart is our mission to build deeper bonds—between pooch and parent, parent to parent, and pet parents to the professionals who care for their dogs. In a time when most events leave people scrolling through their phones instead of being present, we create experiences that are designed for connection. Our goal is simple: when guests leave, they’ve made a new friend, scheduled a future playdate for their dog, and met at least one trusted pet pro in their area.
We also go beyond the typical “pet-friendly” setups with truly unique event concepts. We’ve hosted everything from spa days that offer side-by-side massages for owners and their pups, to our newest series: Woof & Whisper, a secret speakeasy pop-up for dogs and their humans. Guests won’t know the location until the day of the event—and to enter, they’ll share a lighthearted ‘confession’ about life with their dog. Inside, they’re treated to live music, a custom cocktail menu for owners, and a playful mocktail menu just for dogs.
At Pampered Pooch Events, we’re not just planning events—we’re creating moments of joy, connection, and community that last long after the day is over.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi, I’m Rachel Morgan—founder of Pampered Pooch Events, and a lifelong dog lover. My journey into this business was never about chasing trends or filling a market gap—it started with a deep, personal bond with my first dog, Thor. Growing up, I moved a lot and was always the shy new kid. Thor gave me a sense of stability, comfort, and connection I couldn’t find anywhere else. Today, that same love continues with my dog Lyric, who inspired the spark behind everything I do.
Pampered Pooch Events was born out of a simple frustration: too many events labeled “dog-friendly” were actually just an afterthought—a water bowl in the corner and maybe a branded bandana. I wanted more. I wanted experiences that centered dogs and their people—experiences that helped them build memories, feel a part of a community, and meet other pet lovers just like them.
We specialize in fully managed, highly engaging dog-friendly events for residential communities, pet brands, and city partners across North Texas. Whether it’s a luxury dog spa day, a dog fashion show, or our newest secret pop-up speakeasy for dogs (yes, really!), every detail is curated to help pet parents bond with their pups, connect with their neighbors, and discover trusted local pet professionals.
What sets us apart is our focus on meaningful connection. In a world where people are constantly glued to their phones, our events are built to help folks unplug and be present—with their pets and each other. At every Pampered Pooch event, our goal is for attendees to walk away with a new friend, a future playdate, and a helpful pet resource they didn’t know they needed.
We also pride ourselves on making events easy and impactful for the communities we serve. From concept to clean-up, we handle it all. Property managers and partners never have to lift a finger—we show up, deliver unforgettable moments, and leave their residents raving.
What I’m most proud of? It’s the way people open up at our events. I’ve watched residents who’ve lived in the same building for years meet for the first time because their dogs started playing. I’ve seen people who were having a rough day light up with joy after watching their pup paint a masterpiece or sip a dog-friendly mocktail. That’s what this is really about—connection, joy, and community.
For anyone thinking about working with us, know this: we don’t just “do events.” We create meaningful moments for the people who love their pets like family. If that’s you or your audience, we can’t wait to meet you.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
Before Pampered Pooch Events, I ran a food truck and owned a healthy snack company. I traveled to gyms and bodybuilding competitions, serving up clean, creative meals to fitness fanatics. It was exciting at first, but after years of 12 to 16-hour days on the road, I hit a wall. COVID intensified everything, and I burned out—badly. I realized something important: I hated cooking. I loved food, but not making it. And more than anything, I missed my dog, Lyric. She’s my baby, my best friend, and my emotional anchor—and I was spending more time feeding strangers than being with her.
One day, my best friend said, “Why not do for others what you already do for Lyric?” That moment changed everything.
I sold everything—the truck, the equipment, the inventory—and walked away from that business to start Pampered Pooch Events. It was a giant pivot, but the best decision I’ve ever made. Now, I get to build something I love, create moments of joy for pet parents and their pups, and bring Lyric to work with me every single day. That’s not just a career move—it’s a life I’m proud to live.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients has been simple: showing up where they are—and doing it consistently. Whether it’s at dog parks, apartment communities, Facebook groups, local pet-friendly events, or even the small businesses they frequent, I make it a point to be present. I’ve learned that people remember you when they see you—not just online, but in real life. The key is consistency. Keep showing up, keep adding value, and eventually, people will start to seek you out.
