We recently connected with Katrina DiMiele and have shared our conversation below.
Katrina, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I never set out to be a live seller, it just kind of happened. I went live one day from my garage, talking about clothes I loved, and people started buying. It turned into something way bigger than I expected. For anyone who doesn’t know, live selling is going live on platforms like TikTok or Facebook and walking your audience through products in real time—think QVC meets social media, but way more personal.
I learned everything on the job. I didn’t take courses or have a business plan. I just showed up every day, talked to people, listened to what they wanted, and gave them my honest take.
Looking back, I wish I had slowed down enough to truly enjoy the moment—to pause, take it in, and be grateful for the wins along the way.
The biggest thing I’ve learned is that people don’t just buy products—they want connection. And that’s something you can’t fake. What helped me grow wasn’t being “perfect,” it was being real. The biggest challenge? Believing I was worthy of success even though I didn’t have the traditional background. But I’ve come to realize that what makes me different is exactly what makes me powerful.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I didn’t follow a traditional path into this industry—truthfully, I didn’t even know this industry existed when I started. I was a teen mom, a high school dropout, and I opened a hair salon in my twenties because I knew I wanted to make women feel beautiful. That salon became the start of something bigger than I ever imagined. I eventually sold it and took a chance going live on social media, showing clothes out of my home. No lighting, no script—just me, being real with whoever showed up.
That’s how I became a live seller. It’s basically hosting a show in real time where people can shop while you share your honest opinions, try things on, and connect. It’s part sales, part storytelling, and all heart. What started with one live turned into over 14,000 hours of selling. I’ve helped brands move millions in products, but more than that—I’ve helped women feel seen, celebrated, and confident in their bodies.
What sets me apart? I bring my whole self to the screen—faith, family, fashion, and all the messy in between. I’m not trying to be perfect. I’m trying to be present. I don’t just sell products; I build trust. I’ve had to teach myself everything along the way, and I now mentor other creators who want to turn their voice into their business too.
What I’m most proud of is that I kept showing up even when no one believed in what I was building—not even me some days. Now, I get to help women step into their calling, their creativity, and their confidence… all from their phone.
This isn’t just a brand to me. It’s a mission.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was believing that faster growth meant better success. I used to think the goal was to “go viral,” to blow up overnight. And I did—it happened. I went from selling out of my living room to selling hundreds of thousands of dollars in products on live. It felt like everything was taking off.
But what no one tells you is that viral moments don’t build character—they expose it. The pressure, the expectations, the chaos—it almost crushed me. I was building fast, but not always building right. The higher the elevator shot up, the harder it crashed when things shifted.
That’s when I learned the value of taking the stairs. Slow, steady, intentional growth. Building something with roots. God allowed that viral season to shake everything loose—and then in His grace, He built me back on a stronger foundation. One that could handle the weight of the calling. Now, I don’t chase moments—I walk in purpose and let God multiply the movement.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots in my life was moving to California. It wasn’t just a change of scenery—it was a complete surrender. My family and I left everything we ever knew behind in New Jersey. We had built a life there—our business, our home, our community. But I felt the Lord calling us into something new, even though I had no idea what it would look like.
It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done—closing doors that were familiar, letting go of control, and trusting God with the unknown. There were tears, doubts, and moments I questioned if we made the right choice. But deep down, I knew obedience comes before clarity.
Since making that leap, we’ve been blessed in ways I couldn’t have scripted. New opportunities have come—both professionally and personally—that we never would’ve experienced if we stayed where it was “safe.” That pivot taught me that sometimes God asks you to walk away from what’s good so He can lead you to what’s greater. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it.
