We were lucky to catch up with Dina Morales recently and have shared our conversation below.
Dina, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Charitone was born from the most personal parts of my story — survival, purpose, and an unwavering belief in the power of music to heal and connect.
I’ve spent two and a half decades producing concerts, fundraisers, galas, auctions, and VIP experiences in the music industry. In 2016, everything changed when I was diagnosed with a life-threatening brain tumor. At the time, I was working at MusiCares, the charity under The Recording Academy umbrella. The very organization I had helped produce events for stepped in to support me. They provided financial assistance, community, and care during one of the scariest points of my life. That experience revealed the true power of the music community — not just as entertainment, but as a source of strength, generosity, and impact.
That passion — for music and for giving back — never left me. It kept pulling me forward, guiding every decision and reminding me of what really matters. I knew I wanted to build something that honored both.
That’s how Charitone came to life. We are a mission-driven creative and production agency that helps artists, brands, and nonprofits turn inspiration into action. We design campaigns, experiences, galas, auctions, and VIP activations that raise money, build community, and tell stories that matter.
This isn’t just business for me. It’s personal. Charitone empowers artists and brands to stand for something bigger — without adding pressure to their already busy teams. We take care of the strategy and execution so they can focus on showing up, staying authentic, and making an impact through music.

Dina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I found my calling in the space where music and philanthropy meet. It’s where creativity and strategy come together, and where meaningful impact is possible. I’ve always been someone who thinks big but also loves the details, and producing events gave me a way to use both sides of my brain. The ability to dream up a vision, then bring it to life with intention and care, is what has fueled my career for more than two and a half decades.
Throughout the years, I’ve produced concerts, tributes, nonprofit galas, industry summits, and impact campaigns. I’ve worked with organizations like The GRAMMY Foundation, MusiCares, Live Nation, and Music Forward. I’ve executive produced events across the country and abroad, built long-term partnerships, and led both creative direction and operations. Whether I’m shaping an artist moment on stage or building a philanthropic activation behind the scenes, I’m always thinking about how to connect people — emotionally, purposefully, and powerfully.
There’s a moment at every great concert — the lights go down, the crowd roars, hands go up, and for a second, everything else disappears. You feel completely alive, connected, lit up from the inside out. That feeling is what I’ve been chasing my entire career. It’s the same fire I feel when I’m working on a project that matters. When the vision is clear, the purpose is strong, and the pieces start to come together — that’s my version of the lights going down.
What has always driven me is the belief that music can do more than entertain. It can create community. It can raise awareness. It can fuel real change. That desire to make an impact is what led me to create Charitone.
Charitone is a mission-driven creative and production agency that lives at the intersection of music, brands, and purpose. We partner with artists, companies, and nonprofits to produce fundraising events, campaigns, merchandise drops, auctions, and VIP experiences that give back. We lead with strategy and heart, helping our clients turn their platforms into meaningful action.
What sets my work apart is that I’ve seen every side of it. I’ve been in the rooms where creative ideas are born and in the meetings where impact is measured. I know how to bridge the gap between good intentions and real outcomes, and I care deeply about making sure both the vision and the values are protected.
I’m proud of the experiences I’ve created, but more than anything, I’m proud of what those experiences stand for. I’ve built a career rooted in purpose. Charitone is the extension of that work — a reflection of everything I’ve learned and everything I believe in.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Relationships, integrity, and follow-through. I’ve built my reputation by doing what I say I’m going to do with creativity, care, and professionalism. Over the years, I’ve worked with artists, foundations, brands, and nonprofit partners across a wide range of events and campaigns, and I always lead with the same mindset: make it excellent, make it thoughtful, and make it matter.
I don’t believe in doing something just to check a box or get attention. I ask deeper questions. I listen. I look for alignment. And that’s helped me build trust – not just in what I create, but in how I show up as a partner. That trust has been the foundation of every opportunity that’s come my way.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
After brain surgery, I had to relearn how to walk. I spent months in a rehabilitation home, surrounded by people I didn’t know, fighting to regain control of my body and my life. I had lost mobility on my left side, and every day was a battle – physically, emotionally, and mentally. All I wanted was to go home. To be with my kids. To get back to work. To feel like myself again.
When I was finally discharged, the fight wasn’t over. I had to prove I could return to my job; not just to others, but to myself. I had to show that I had come out the other side of something life-altering and that I could still lead, create, and contribute in a meaningful way. That part was just as hard as the physical recovery.
That experience didn’t just change me – it reshaped how I approach my work and my life. It gave me a deeper understanding of what truly matters. Purpose, impact, and connection are not just guiding principles for me. They are the foundation of everything I do.
