Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chantal Zeidan. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Chantal, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?
The idea for my bikini brand came from a very personal place — I’ve always been a huge bikini lover. I owned so many bikinis, and I was incredibly picky about the fit, fabric, and style. I’d constantly find myself trying to mix and match pieces or alter them just to get the look and feel I really wanted. Over time, I realized that if I was this selective — and still struggling to find the perfect swimwear — there had to be others feeling the same way.
That obsession turned into a passion project. I began sketching, researching materials, learning about manufacturing, and playing with design ideas that felt like me — bold, flattering, and effortless. I wasn’t coming from a traditional fashion background, but my attention to detail and love for bikinis gave me a real edge. I knew exactly what was missing in the market.
And that’s how my brand SO CEE was born.
The idea started to feel real when people around me responded so positively. Friends wanted to try my samples, give feedback, and wear the pieces. That gave me the confidence to take it seriously. I believed in it because it was born from real experience and real love — not just for bikinis, but for how they can make someone feel: confident, powerful, and comfortable in their own skin.

Chantal, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi, I’m Chantal Zeidan — Founder and Creative Director of So Cee, a bikini brand born from a genuine love for swimwear, self-expression, and feeling confident in your own skin.
My journey into the industry didn’t start with formal fashion training — it started with passion. I’ve always been obsessed with bikinis. I collected them, studied them, and was super picky about the fit, cuts, colors, and materials. That obsession eventually turned into a vision: to create bikinis that didn’t just look good, but made you feel amazing — empowered, bold, and totally yourself.
So Cee is proudly designed by me and handmade in Bali — a place that inspires so much of the brand’s essence. I work closely with local artisans to ensure that every piece is crafted with intention and care. All our drops are limited edition, which makes each piece feel extra special — no mass production, no overdone trends, just timeless swimwear made to stand out.
The brand blends minimalism with bold femininity, using luxe fabrics, flattering cuts, and thoughtful details that enhance real bodies. I’m deeply involved in every step — from the design sketches to fabric selection to the final product.
The problem I solve for my clients is simple but important: most swimwear on the market is either mass-produced, poorly fitting, or too trend-driven — and it often misses the mark when it comes to making women feel confident and seen. I created So Cee to change that.
I design bikinis for women who care about quality, comfort, and standing out without trying too hard. My pieces are made to flatter real bodies, feel amazing on the skin, and give you that effortless, confident energy — whether you’re lounging on a beach or heading to a pool party. With limited drops, custom-designed cuts, and high-end materials handmade in Bali, So Cee fills the gap between fast fashion and true statement swimwear.
I’m most proud of building a brand that reflects confidence and creativity, while also supporting ethical, small-scale production. I want people to know that So Cee is about owning your body, your energy, and your unique vibe — and doing it in swimwear that actually feels as good as it looks.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is seeing an idea that once lived only in my mind come to life — and then watching someone connect with it in the real world. There’s something so powerful about turning a sketch or a vision into a physical piece that makes someone feel confident, beautiful, and seen.
As the designer behind So Cee, I put so much thought and emotion into each bikini — from the cut to the fabric to the color story. So when I see someone wear one of my designs and absolutely own it, it’s the best feeling in the world. It’s not just about fashion; it’s about helping someone feel like the most empowered version of themselves.
Creativity gives me freedom, purpose, and connection — and being able to share that with others makes it all worth it.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe what helped me build my reputation in the market is a combination of unwavering commitment to quality, authenticity, and exclusivity. By offering very limited quantities of handmade swimwear designed with care, customers know they’re getting something unique and special. Also, being based in Bali and embracing the local culture in my designs has helped connect with customers who appreciate the story and craftsmanship behind the brand. Finally, consistently delivering excellent customer service and building genuine relationships has really strengthened my reputation.”
