Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amelie Polk. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Amelie, appreciate you joining us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
Yes, I definitely do things a little differently than what’s typical in the astrology space. My entire brand is built around helping people “glow up”—but not just in the surface-level way that word sometimes implies. To me, a true glow-up is about becoming who you were always meant to be. It’s about aligning with your purpose, your natural energy and your gifts so you’re not just chasing trends or trying to be someone you’re not.
I use astrology as a tool for self-actualization, but I don’t try to cover every single placement in a chart. Instead, I focus on the ones that I’ve found create the most transformation—like your North Node, which reveals your soul’s purpose, or your Midheaven, which shows the kind of career or visibility that will feel fulfilling and successful. I also use placements like Mars to help people figure out their ideal workout style, Venus + Rising signs for personal style and for teaching manifestation and attraction from an energetic perspective.
I created a course called AstroGlow because I wanted to offer more than just readings. It’s a full glow-up system based on your birth chart—covering everything from movement, mindset, style, and self-care to personalized manifestation rituals. Students learn how to stay motivated in their wellness routines using their astrology, build nutrition habits aligned with their 6th house, and feel more magnetic and confident by tapping into their Venus sign. Of course, I always remind people to check with a doctor before making any health changes, but what I teach is about energetic alignment, not one-size-fits-all advice.
What really sets me apart is that I live by this. Every part of my brand and business is in alignment with my own chart. I used to feel completely disconnected—chasing trendy workouts, wearing things that didn’t flatter me, and planning for a career in psychiatry just because it felt “safe.” But when I started studying astrology seriously and saw my chart clearly for the first time, it gave me this huge wave of confidence. Like, oh—this is who I really am. That clarity helped me stop trying to be someone I wasn’t and gave me permission to build something that actually felt good.
Now, I share that journey online with a community that’s grown to hundreds of thousands across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. I get comments all the time from people saying things like, “I’ve never seen astrology explained like this,” or “This made me feel seen for the first time.” That’s why I do it. I’m not just trying to entertain or go viral I want people to walk away from my content feeling more connected to themselves.
I think astrology has so much power beyond just horoscopes and I love making it accessible, fun, and deeply transformative. That’s really my mission: to empower people to go after their purpose and to stop waiting for permission to be their real selves.

Amelie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started my business when I was just 17 years old, creating content around spirituality and manifestation—things I was deeply passionate about. But it wasn’t until I turned 20 that I really began monetizing and stepping fully into my purpose: offering astrology readings, digital guides, and my signature course, AstroGlow. I’ve always had this pull toward helping people transform their lives, and astrology became the tool that made that possible for me—and now for others.
My journey with astrology began around age 10 or 11, just scrolling Instagram and sending zodiac memes to my friends. At the time, I only knew about Sun signs, but I quickly realized there was an entire chart filled with layers—Moon signs, Rising signs, Venus, Mars, and so much more. It felt too complex to ever truly understand, but I was captivated. I’d walk around the neighborhood with my friends or sit by the lake trying to decode people’s energy based on their chart placements. Even though we were barely scratching the surface, it sparked something in me.
By age 14 or 15, I started diving deep into the study of astrology on my own. When COVID hit, I had more time and space to study and began practicing with friends—reading their charts over the phone, noticing patterns, testing insights. I didn’t think I’d ever become a professional astrologer—part of me just didn’t believe it was possible. But when I started posting online at 17 and saw how many people resonated with my approach, I kept going. At first, I relied solely on brand deals to fund my business, but I made the decision to wait until I felt truly ready and confident before offering paid readings or services. I wanted to respect the depth of astrology and be someone people could trust.
Today, I provide astrology chart readings, high-quality digital guides, and a course called AstroGlow that helps people align every part of their life—from fitness and nutrition to manifestation, self-care, and confidence—with their birth chart. The course blends deep astrological insight with practical lifestyle transformation. We talk about things like how to eat based on your 6th house, how to work out in a way that matches your Mars sign, how to unlock your magnetism through your Venus, and how to follow your North Node toward purpose and fulfillment. (And yes—there’s always a disclaimer to consult with a doctor before making any health changes.)
What makes my brand different is that I’m not trying to make astrology trendy, I’m trying to make it life-changing. I simplify complex information and present it in a way that’s both strategic and soulful. I mix the wisdom of astrology with psychology, wellness, and real-life application because I want people to walk away from my content or courses actually feeling empowered to take action.
I’m most proud of the fact that everything I teach is something I live. My business, brand, lifestyle, and content all reflect the placements in my own chart. I believe that’s why my work connects with people, it’s not performative or overly polished, it’s real. And the feedback I get is incredible. People tell me they’ve never seen astrology explained this way. Others say my videos helped them feel seen, start therapy, or finally pursue something they’ve always wanted. That’s why I do this work.
For anyone discovering me or my work for the first time, I want you to know that astrology doesn’t have to be confusing, intimidating, or surface-level. It can be the key that helps you reconnect to your intuition, find your direction, and glow up in the most aligned, fulfilling way possible.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Absolutely. One of the biggest pivots I’ve ever made happened during my freshman year of college. I was juggling full-time coursework in psychology and integrative health and wellness while also trying to grow my social media and figure out how to fund the vision I had for my future. I knew I wanted to build something powerful, but I didn’t yet have a reliable income source. That’s when I discovered remote high-ticket sales—this promise of flexible hours, high commissions, and financial freedom.
I was skeptical, but I was also desperate to escape survival mode. So I did something that felt completely insane at the time: I invested nearly $10,000 across three credit cards to get trained in sales. I was terrified, but I told myself: If I’m ever going to bet on something, it might as well be myself.
After graduating from the training program, I got placed in my first sales role—and immediately threw myself into it. I woke up at 5:30 AM for sales huddles, took calls between college classes, and worked over 30 hours a week on top of my full-time course load. I gave everything I had. But the company wasn’t stable. The leads were inconsistent, the systems were unclear, and after three months of pouring myself into it, I had made only about $1,500—and got ghosted on a $1,000 bonus I was promised.
I was exhausted, confused, and in massive debt. And worst of all, I felt like I had done everything “right.” I followed the steps. I showed up. I believed in the vision. So why wasn’t it working?
But I didn’t quit. I went back, recommitted, and landed a second sales role—this time with a more supportive team and better leadership. That’s when everything started to change. I finally earned consistent commissions—$5,000 in one month—and proved to myself that I could do high-level work and succeed. But while the sales job was going well on paper, something inside me started to shift.
I kept thinking: If I can show up like this for someone else’s business… why can’t I do the same for my own?
That was the pivot point. I realized that the discipline, energy, and strategy I was pouring into sales could be redirected into building what I had wanted all along: a business based on astrology, mindset, and helping people align with their purpose.
So I scaled back my hours and went all in on my brand. I launched my chart reading services, created digital guides, and built my signature course, AstroGlow, where I now help others align their lifestyle—fitness, nutrition, self-care, manifestation, and confidence—with their birth charts. It’s where astrology meets psychology and glow-up meets purpose.
Looking back, I’m so grateful for the detour. That season taught me discipline, resilience, and sales skills—but more importantly, it gave me the clarity to stop waiting for someone else to give me an opportunity and instead create my own. The pivot wasn’t just in my career—it was in my identity. I stopped trying to prove my worth through someone else’s system and started building a path that actually reflects who I am.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I started building my audience during my junior year of high school. I remember sitting at my desk one day and just deciding I was going to go all in on TikTok. I committed to posting 3–5 times every single day, even with a full school schedule. I’d get home, research moon cycles, manifestation rituals, and spiritual topics for hours, then film as much content as I could before going to bed. If I had free time during class, I’d be editing videos or planning my posts to go up during lunch—trying to time everything for optimized views. It was a grind, but I genuinely loved it.
After just a few weeks, things started picking up. I had my first viral video in under a month, and within 3 months I was receiving PR packages and booking my first brand deals. Looking back, I was just this teenage girl testing everything—sharing what I was learning and trying to make sense of it all alongside my audience.
By the end of that first year, I had grown to 25,000 followers. I slowed down a bit to about 2–4 posts a day, 5–6 times a week, while still experimenting and figuring out how I wanted to niche down. In 2023, I made the decision to fully commit to astrology and manifestation. That’s when I created my signature New Moon and Full Moon prediction series, which consistently brought in 200K to over a million views per video. It gave people so much value and guidance, and that was the first time I felt truly secure in my brand.
That series ran strong for about a year, but eventually, the views slowed down as more creators entered the space. Instead of panicking, I took it as a cue to evolve. I asked myself, What are people missing? What’s not being talked about? That’s when I started experimenting with “glow-up astrology” and self-growth content rooted in the birth chart—something that blended beauty, wellness, confidence, and purpose with deeper astrology. I started posting that around July 2024, and everything took off. I hit 100K followers on July 1st and spent the rest of that year diving even deeper into glow-up astrology so I could teach it in a clear, empowering, and digestible way.
Then in early 2025, with all the TikTok ban news circulating, I realized I needed to expand. I couldn’t keep all my eggs in one basket. So in January, I started posting consistently to Instagram Reels and Stories—and gained 10,000 new followers in just two months. Around the same time, I launched my YouTube channel and fell in love with long-form content. It felt like the perfect space to go deeper, share more of my story, and connect more meaningfully with my audience.
If I could go back and tell my younger self anything, it would be: don’t wait to diversify your content across platforms. You don’t need to be everywhere, but having a presence on at least two or three platforms protects your growth and gives you room to evolve creatively.
My best advice for anyone starting out:
– Post often in the beginning. Quantity leads to clarity.
– Be willing to test. Your niche might not show up in your first 10 videos but you’ll find it by listening to what excites your audience and what excites you.
– Let people grow with you. You don’t need to be perfect to start, you just need to be real.
– Value evolves. Give people what they’re missing. Don’t be afraid to shift when something no longer feels aligned.
At the end of the day, what’s helped me grow isn’t just a strategy it’s that I believe in what I share. I’ve lived through the glow-ups, the setbacks, and the pivots. And I think people resonate with that energy. Because when you show up as your whole self. that’s when you build a community not just an audience
