We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Bradlee Jacques a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Bradlee thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My mission with NOLA Nannies LLC is rooted in both personal experience and a deep understanding of my community’s needs. As a mom and full-time nanny myself, I’ve lived on both sides struggling to find dependable, compassionate childcare, and also being the one trusted to provide it. I launched NOLA Nannies to create a reliable, professional space where families feel supported and caregivers feel valued and respected.
One experience that really affirmed this mission for me was working with a first-time mom and her newborn. That’s such a sensitive and sacred time for the baby, but especially for the mother. She was overwhelmed, sleep-deprived, and filled with questions and uncertainty. I was able to come in not just as a nanny, but as a calm, reassuring presence who helped her build confidence, get rest, and focus on bonding with her baby. Those quiet moments helping her through feedings, calming the baby at 3 a.m., just listening when she needed to talk reminded me how vital this work is.
That’s what NOLA Nannies is about. We’re not just filling a shift we’re showing up with compassion, experience, and heart. Our mission is to elevate the standard of in-home care while making families feel seen, heard, and cared for. It’s more than a business, it’s a calling.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi, I’m Bradlee, the founder of NOLA Nannies LLC a nanny agency based in New Orleans that’s rooted in compassion, trust, and community. I’ve worn many hats in the childcare world: mother, nanny, newborn care specialist, and agency owner, and each one has shaped the mission behind my brand.
I got into the agency industry the organic way: out of need. As a mom myself and a full-time nanny, I quickly saw that there were so many families searching for safe, high-quality care, and so many incredible nannies who deserved better opportunities and support. NOLA Nannies was born at the intersection of those two needs: helping families find care they can trust, while also empowering nannies to be seen, valued, and respected.
We provide premium nanny placement services, babysitting, newborn care, travel nanny support, and even mentorship for aspiring nannies. But what truly sets us apart is how hands-on and heart-first we are. Every family and nanny is personally matched, every home is safety-checked, and every placement is about more than just filling hours it’s about building relationships rooted in trust and intention. And above all, NOLA Nannies is rooted in Southern quality care and love, the kind that reminds you of how a Southern grandma loves on her grandbabies and looks out for her entire neighborhood. It’s a kind of care that’s warm, patient, consistent, and deeply rooted in family values. That’s what we bring into every home we serve.
I’m proud that we’ve built something special in New Orleans: a space where nannies feel respected and uplifted, and families feel truly supported. We’ve cared for first-time moms navigating postpartum, helped families with children who have special needs, and stepped in during last-minute emergencies. We are more than a childcare service, we’re a village.
What I want people to know about NOLA Nannies is this: we care deeply. About who’s caring for your children. About honoring caregivers. About offering families peace of mind. And about continuing the legacy of loving, Southern-rooted care that brings comfort, stability, and joy into every home.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients for NOLA Nannies has been word of mouth, hands down. Nothing compares to the trust that comes from a personal recommendation, and we’re incredibly grateful that so many families and nannies refer others to us based on their positive experiences.
Our Google reviews have also played a huge role in growing our reach. They give potential clients real insight into how we operate and the care we provide and we’ve found that people often reach out specifically because of the transparency and trust reflected in those reviews.
Social media is another growing avenue for us. I’ll admit I’m still learning and getting more comfortable in front of the camera, but I know how important it is to show up and let people get to know the heart behind the business. Every time we post something that resonates, whether it’s a behind-the-scenes clip, a helpful tip, or just something funny about nanny life it opens the door to new opportunities and connections.
Lastly, interviews and features on other platforms have been valuable. Being able to share our story, mission, and services in other spaces helps us reach new audiences who align with our values.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots I’ve had to make in my career was stepping back from full-time nannying a role I’ve held and loved for over 13 years. For the last 7 years, I’ve somehow balanced being a full-time nanny, a mother, and running my agency, NOLA Nannies. It wasn’t always easy, but I did it because I genuinely love nannying. It has always felt like one of my life’s callings.
But this year, I had to make a difficult but necessary decision. As much as I love working hands-on with families, I realized that for my business to grow and reach the next level, I needed to create more space mentally, emotionally, and practically. That meant I couldn’t keep pouring the same amount of time into nannying while also building the infrastructure, systems, and vision I see for NOLA Nannies.
It was a tough transition, because nannying is not just a job it’s deeply personal. But I also believe that building this agency is another calling, one that allows me to support even more families and caregivers than I could on my own. I still nanny occasionally or take on part-time roles when I can, but I’ve officially stepped back from full-time placements.
This pivot has taught me a lot about letting go, trusting the process, and making room for growth even when it’s uncomfortable. And honestly, I’m proud of the courage it took to choose the long-term vision over the day-to-day comfort of what I’ve always known.
