Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Liron Erel. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Liron, appreciate you joining us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard.
As a photographer working in the luxury wedding space, I’ve always been drawn to a more organic, inside-out approach; one that’s less about staging moments and more about being quietly immersed in them. I intentionally reject the hyper-curated, externally directed narrative in favor of something more intuitive and emotionally rooted. Rather than executing a shot list or chasing perfection, I approach the weekend with openness, welcoming whatever beauty, tension, or intimacy naturally arises. I work with film not as a trend, but as a deliberate choice to slow down, to be present, and to honor the timelessness of each frame. There’s something deeply honest and emotional about how film responds to light, movement, and touch; it gives weddings the visual poetry I believe they deserve.
Rather than arriving as “the photographer,” I aim to become a part of the fabric of the weekend. I’m not just documenting events, I’m absorbing the atmosphere, the in-between moments, the energy that builds and shifts with each passing hour. I move gently, observe attentively, and photograph from within. I’m allowing my proximity to the couple and their people to shape the work. This shift in posture, from orchestrator to participant, creates trust and emotional access that’s difficult to manufacture. This unobtrusive presence allows me to capture imagery that feels alive and unforced, intimate and lasting.
I have an openness for the unexpected. Some of my favorite images come from unplanned flashes of beauty: a sunbeam slicing through an unexpected moment, a private laugh behind the scenes, or some late-night dance chaos. These unscripted moments are where the soul of a wedding reveals itself, and I’m always ready to meet it with curiosity and reverence.

Liron, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Liron Erel, a portrait & wedding photographer with over 17 years of experience. I create images that feel nostalgic, emotive, and deeply personal. My journey into photography began as a quiet curiosity; an instinctive desire to preserve beauty in its most fleeting, vulnerable form. Over time, that instinct became a calling. Today, I work with clients all around the world, documenting celebrations with honesty, intention, and a quiet reverence for the in-between moments.
I photograph primarily on film, which allows me to slow down, observe more deeply, and create work that feels timeless rather than trendy. My approach is immersive and intuitive; never performative. I don’t direct the day; I respond to it. I aim to create imagery that reflects the heart of the people in front of me. My clients often tell me they felt seen, not staged, and that’s something I’m deeply proud of.
What sets my work apart is my sensitivity to atmosphere, emotion, and rhythm. I don’t believe in perfection as a visual goal; I believe in depth, honesty, and soul. I want my couples to look back at their photographs decades from now and feel something real. For those drawn to intentional storytelling, film’s tactile magic, and a quieter, more poetic point of view, I’m here.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the privilege of touching people’s lives in a lasting, meaningful way. While photography is my profession and I take pride in providing an exceptional, above-and-beyond level of service, it’s the work’s emotional impact that stays with me. To be invited into such intimate, beautiful celebrations and being trusted to preserve them is something I’ll never take for granted.
There’s something incredibly powerful about knowing that the images I create will outlive the celebration itself. They’ll become part of a family’s history, passed down, revisited, and cherished. That’s the real reward: giving my clients something deeper than documentation, something that reflects how it all felt, something that brings them back, every time they look at it.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe my reputation has been built on a foundation of hard work, consistency, and a deep commitment to quality. From the very beginning, I’ve approached each wedding with the same level of care and attention. I never take the trust of my clients and their wedding planners for granted, and I hold myself to a standard that ensures every gallery I deliver feels elevated, cohesive, and deeply personal.
That consistency is what keeps clients recommending me and planners bringing me back. It’s not just about creating beautiful images; it’s about showing up fully, being reliable, calm, and collaborative, and making the entire experience feel seamless and thoughtful. At the end of the day, referrals come from people feeling genuinely cared for, and knowing they can count on me to deliver, every time.
