Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Vincent Casey. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Vincent, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
In 2010, what began as a simple birthday visit to my cousin, R&B singer Lyfe Jennings in Georgia turned into a life-changing opportunity. During the trip, he invited me to join him on tour as his security guard. Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, this offer meant more than just employment, it was a possible escape from the street life that had always awaited me back home.
At the time, I was a 30-year-old father of four sons ages 1, 3, 11, and 12. The idea of leaving them to spend months on the road wasn’t easy to accept. But deep down, I knew this could be the shift I needed, a doorway to something better. So I took the risk.
That decision took me from a man who had never left Toledo or even been on a plane to someone who traveled to over 25 cities across the country in just a few months. I thought it was God opening a door for me to live a “rich life.” But what He had in mind was so much deeper.
Less than nine months after moving to Georgia, my older brother shared his testimony with me, and it stirred something in my spirit. I soon found myself in church and it was there that I was baptized. That moment marked the beginning of a complete transformation. I walked away from the club scene, gave up drinking and smoking, and committed to a life of abstinence. I made the decision to honor God with my whole heart.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
The man behind the brand, I Vincent Casey Sr. am not your typical minister. With over 15 years in ministry and a decade as a gym owner in Marietta, Georgia, I have forged a unique path that intertwines spiritual growth, physical wellness, and emotional healing.
As a relationship mediator, speaker, and passionate advocate for men’s mental health, I bring a refreshing blend of raw honesty and hard-earned wisdom to the table.
My journey is marked by church hurt, betrayal, and pain. Experiences that led me back to the garden to rediscover God in a profound new way. It was there I found my purpose, my wife, and my true calling. Now, I’m on a mission to help others, particularly men, grow into their best selves while glorifying Jesus.
What sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to vulnerability, transparency, and honesty. I don’t claim to have all the answers, but offer something far more valuable: the power of shared experience.
Through my own story of transformation, I demonstrates that real strength lies in openness and authenticity.
I am most proud of writing my first book “Relationship Flaws, Faults and Shortcomings”. Where I have been graced to shatter the mold of traditional relationship advice. Drawing from 15+ years of ministry and my own journey through life’s storms, I offer a raw, unfiltered look at what it truly takes to build lasting, meaningful connections.
I am also proud of the accomplishment in receiving an “Integrated Attachment Theory” certification, that aids in my coaching to make sure clients heal from core wounds and beliefs, most times planted in childhood that prevent them from becoming their best self.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson I had to unlearn was thinking that just because I’d always been a certain way, I had to stay that way. I used to believe my personality, habits, and ways of thinking were just ‘who I was.’ But as I began to heal, I realized some of those traits were shaped by trauma, not by God’s design. That realization led me on a deep dive into my core wounds and beliefs. I had to sort through what was truly me and what were unhealthy coping mechanisms I developed to survive. Unlearning those patterns hasn’t been easy, but it’s been necessary for me to grow into the person I was always meant to be.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
There are two core principles I stood on when building the social media presence I have today.
The first is Consistency. You don’t have to get it right every time. In fact, you probably won’t. But when you’re consistent, you give yourself room to grow. Consistency allows for trial and error and through that process, you discover the most effective and authentic way to bring your vision to life online.
The second principle is Authenticity. What truly built trust with my audience was showing up as my real self. Not as a guru. Not as someone with all the answers. Just me, honest about the mistakes, the hardships, and the lessons learned along the way. People may be impressed by perfection, but they connect with authenticity. They relate to the journey, not just the destination.
