We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Roshni Dattani. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Roshni below.
Roshni, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
For over a decade, I built a thriving career in global banking and fintech, working with top institutions like Merrill Lynch, J.P. Morgan and leading various startups and fintech firms. I managed high-pressure teams, oversaw complex legal and regulatory landscapes and was often one of the few women in senior leadership spaces. On the outside, my life reflected success—achievement, influence and security.
But internally, I was silently struggling.
I got married early, shortly after graduating from university — and while I poured myself into my career, I was also navigating a painful and misaligned relationship behind the scenes. Although my parents weren’t particularly traditional, I had still inherited a quiet, generational stigma around divorce. As a South Asian woman, there was an unspoken expectation to endure, to stay, to preserve the appearance of stability at all costs. Leaving felt like failure, so I buried my truth, pushed down my emotions and kept “performing” success.
When I eventually left the marriage, I expected to find freedom. Instead, still not fully anchored in self-trust, I unknowingly entered another disempowering environment—this time, in the form of a spiritual community that masked control and fear under the guise of love and faith. I spent years in that space, gradually losing my voice and autonomy, believing I was healing when, in truth, I was being further disconnected from my essence.
While I was still part of that spiritual community, I remember one day in prayer, I asked to be shown what true, divine Love really was. I asked to see everything through that lens — to feel and recognise what was real, what was pure, what was aligned with the truth of who I am.
That prayer became a turning point.
Slowly, something inside me began to shift. It was as if the blindfold I didn’t know I was wearing began to lift. I started to see the space I was in with new eyes — the subtle control, the fear masked as devotion, the ways it pulled me away from my own inner knowing. I realised it wasn’t aligned with my values, my essence or my path.
Shortly after I left that space, the clarity deepened. I could see just how far I had drifted from my truth. For the first time in years, I began the real healing journey — not to fix or ascend, but to come home to myself. To feel. To listen. To reconnect.
That’s when sound healing found me.
One encounter with crystal singing bowls changed everything. The moment I felt their vibration move through my body, I experienced a sense of safety I hadn’t felt in years. These sounds bypassed my mind and spoke directly to my soul. Through sound healing, I began to release layers of shame, fear and conditioning that words alone could never reach.
This marked the beginning of my return.
As I deepened my studies and practices across India, Bali, Portugal. the UK and the US, my work began to evolve. The Sonic Wealth Coach was born, bringing together everything I had learned from the worlds of high finance, deep personal healing and energetic mastery.
Today, I support high-achievers, visionary leaders, healers and creatives to create soul-led, magnetic businesses rooted in alignment, energetic clarity and embodied self-worth.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience by choosing to show up with truth, joy and presence. Not performance.
When I first started posting, I wasn’t trying to go viral or force growth. I shared what I loved. I created content that genuinely brought me joy… whether it was a frequency I’d just recorded, a caption pouring from my heart or a moment of beauty that felt worth sharing.
I wasn’t chasing validation through likes or followers, but using social media as a way to I reclaim my voice. That became my strategy: post what lights you up, speak to what you’ve actually lived through and let the energy of your content do the work.
It wasn’t overnight. But over time, the right people began to find me. Not just an audience, but a community that resonated on a soul level. Because I wasn’t trying to be someone else. I was being more me.
And when I combined that with the embodiment of my work… bringing in sound healing, wealth energetics and the deeper conversations that most people weren’t having online, that’s when things really began to expand.
My advice for those starting out?
Create from joy. Share what excites you, what inspires you, what you love. Let it be a pleasure, not a performance.
Detach from the outcome. The numbers don’t define your worth or the potency of your work. Keep creating, even if no one is watching (yet).
Be rooted in your energy. Embodiment is magnetic. When you’re living what you teach, people feel it.
Build connection over perfection. Let people see you. Not a polished version, but the real, resonant, human you.
Social media gets to be an extension of your expression. It doesn’t have to be a place to prove, but a place to remember who you are and let others remember themselves through you.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
For most of my life, I was the high-achiever, the one who always had it handled. In my corporate career—working in global banking and fintech—I was praised for my ability to perform under pressure, to manage risk, lead teams, meet deadlines. I wore productivity like armour and success became my identity.
I thought I was doing everything “right.”
Follow the timeline:
Get the degree.
Get the job.
Get married.
Buy the house.
Have the children.
Climb the ladder.
Stay the course.
But eventually, I realised that this timeline — the one the world hands you — is an illusion. A socially accepted script that promises happiness if you just keep ticking the boxes. What it actually does is keep you disconnected from your soul, constantly chasing, constantly proving, constantly performing.
Behind the scenes, I was in a marriage that was breaking me. And I stayed longer than I should have — not because I didn’t know it was hurting me, but because I had internalised the belief that strong women don’t quit. That leaving meant failing. Especially growing up in an Indian household, I carried deep cultural and generational conditioning around shame, reputation and holding it all together.
Eventually, the pressure of performing—at work, in my relationship, in life—became too heavy. I realised I had become disconnected from myself. My nervous system was exhausted, my spirit was drained and I was tired of living for everyone else’s approval.
Unlearning that my worth was based on achievement was one of the hardest and most liberating parts of my journey. I had to strip away the external validation and rebuild from a place of softness, safety and self-trust.
Now, my work is rooted in helping others do the same—especially high-achievers, leaders, healers and visionaries who are ready to create lives and businesses that feel aligned, not just impressive.
Because true wealth, to me, is peace. It’s knowing that who you are is enough, even when you’re resting, even when you’re not “doing.”
And the life I’m living now?
It doesn’t follow the worldly timeline in any particular order.
It follows my timeline.
One led by soul, by truth, by trust.
And it is more beautiful, more expansive and more magical than anything I could have imagined.
That’s where your magic begins too.
