We believe true success is derived from having a deep passion for what you do. While motivation, organization, and drive are essential, genuinely loving your craft is the cornerstone; from that foundation, success naturally follows. For us, advancing our success means continuing to grow our team with massage therapists who share this dedication to helping others find relief. This environment thrives on mutual respect—among our team members, towards our clients, and throughout our entire organization. Robyn + Daniela, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

With my (Robyn’s) background in Psychology and Daniela’s in Exercise Science, we’ve always shared a deep fascination with the human body’s intricacies. We proudly call ourselves ‘anatomy nerds!’ This eventually led us both down the same road to massage therapy, where we instantly knew we’d found our true calling.
Our key difference from the industry standard is our dedicated focus on therapeutic results and highly personalized treatment. While many prioritize general relaxation, we employ therapists who are specialists in resolving issues like chronic pain, injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders.
Our approach to ‘Restorative Massage’ is also quite distinctive because it moves beyond standardized routines. We begin with a thorough conversation to clearly understand your specific goals. Following that, our skilled therapists integrate a variety of techniques, selecting precisely what’s most effective to achieve your objectives. In essence, you receive a highly customized treatment plan, specifically designed to promote proper alignment and provide lasting well-being.
We also have other services on our menu, including Lymphatic Drainage, MediCupping, Structural Integration, and Craniosacral Therapy. We have 30-minute add-ons to services such as reflexology, stretch, face and scalp, and massage gun, and we have an infrared sauna. What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

Our most powerful growth strategy remains authentic word-of-mouth. When clients experience exceptional care and feel significantly better, they naturally tell others. They want their loved ones to feel as wonderful as they now do. In fact, we both built our individual practices entirely on this principle, without even having websites. While we now also strategically invest in Google and social media ads as a strong secondary approach, genuine client referrals continue to drive our success.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.

Dealing with a physical ailment, I (Robyn) was searching for a massage therapist who shared my focus on facilitating genuine healing and realignment, rather than just relaxation. After a long search, I met Daniela and recognized a kindred spirit in her approach. Our consistently full schedules highlighted a clear community demand for more specialized therapeutic techniques. This realization, after years of discussion, inspired us to take the leap and open Align Massage Center.
