We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kevin Secundino. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with kevin below.
Kevin, appreciate you joining us today. One of our favorite things to hear about is stories around the nicest thing someone has done for someone else – what’s the nicest thing someone has ever done for you?
Sometimes life gives us a second chance and we have to take advantage of it. After my accident I changed sports, forced to do so because of my disability, but thanks to that I discovered a passion.
Kevin, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Following a motorcycle accident, 12 operations and more than two years in hospital and in a rehabilitation center, I reinvented myself and changed my discipline. Passionate about cycling at the time, I created a new passion with bodybuilding, initially to externalize my problems, it then became a way for me to express myself and today I am happy to live through bodybuilding.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Life is about adaptation. We often dream of a life that we don’t have. But sometimes the trials of life teach us that the main thing is health and being with the people we love.
Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
I had absolutely not planned this life path, I had to adapt to my daily life. But today despite what I have lost, I manage to be happy with what I have left.
