We recently connected with Tia Minzoni and have shared our conversation below.
Tia, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
The idea for Stella Jets came from a pivotal moment in my life. I was facing a cancer diagnosis in 2019 that forced me to look closely at my life and what I was waiting for. I realized I could not wait for the perfect time anymore. It was time to go all in on the idea that had been in my heart for years.
I had spent my career mastering marketing, branding, and business growth, but private aviation was a new world for me. I started diving deep into the business side of aviation, studying everything from FAA regulations to how charter brokerage works. I networked with people in the industry, asked a million questions, and started mapping out what it would take to build something different in this space.
In 2022, the opportunity came to acquire a Detroit-based company called Stella Jets. The brand had potential but needed a fresh vision and leadership. I took the leap, bought the company, and relocated it to Dallas, Texas. From that day, it was non-stop. We overhauled the website, built out all new marketing, created client systems, set up operations, and established a brand that reflected the level of service I believed private aviation deserved.
I also knew that it could be more than just a jet brokerage. It could be a lifestyle brand. That led to the creation of Stella ShAire, a private membership program, and Stella Experiences, our luxury event and travel experience division.
The first year was about constant learning, solving problems, building our client base and brand, as well as refining everything again and again until it was at a level we could be proud of. From legal requirements and contracts to figuring out client experiences and team dynamics, it was all about taking action step after step. What started as a dream turned into a fully operating, thriving company by keeping the focus on service, integrity, and the power of saying yes before everything was figured out.

Tia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am the founder and CEO of Stella Jets, an all-female-owned private jet company based in Dallas, Texas. My background is in scaling businesses and data-driven marketing. However, I entered private aviation because I saw a need for innovation and diversity that I found intriguing.
Although Stella Jets offers all the traditional things you expect from private jet charter, our newest additions, Stella ShAire – our exclusive membership program which offers members luxury benefits like booking a seat on our private jet trips and getting VIP access to events, and using our state of the art facitilies at Stella HQ – and Stella Experiences – our luxury travel and event division that curates extravagant custom events, from the private jets to yacht charters, luxury villas, and celebrity access to venues and events. The high-level white-glove approach to taking care of all of our clients travel needs is what sets us apart from others in the industry.
What I am most proud of is how our small team has built this amazing, innovative, and fun company from the small charter brokerage we purchased in 2022 to the massive brand it is now, proving that anything is possible with vision, determination, and a lot of hard work. Stella Jet Brands exists to make private aviation efficient, fun, modern, effortless, and truly client-focused.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What built my reputation in this industry is my passion for Stella and people. Relationship capital is important in any industry; however, private aviation is a high-trust business. Clients are trusting you with their time, their safety, and many times, millions of dollars. I made it non-negotiable that every client would feel cared for, communicated with, and safe.
Being relentless about service, solving problems quickly, and treating every client like a long-term relationship instead of a transaction is what sets us apart. Word travels fast in this space when you lead with integrity, consistency, and genuine care.
Pair that with building a brand that looks, feels, and operates with the same values and commitments, and it became the foundation of our reputation.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been a combination of relationship building, showing up for others, and referrals. This is an industry where credibility is everything. When clients feel like they are truly cared for, they naturally refer their friends, family, and business partners.
Beyond that, staying visible, creating content, engaging with the right networks, giving back to our community, and making sure our messaging reflects the high-level experience we offer has attracted the right clients.
