We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Gabriela Fiorentino. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Gabriela below.
Gabriela, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
The moment that changed everything for me was simple. Quiet, even. I was rocking my son to sleep in the middle of the night, staring at his little face, and the thought that hit me was…
How can I raise the future while polluting it?
I had tears in my eyes. Because I knew I wasn’t making the choices I wanted to. Not because I didn’t care—but because I was exhausted, confused, and overwhelmed. I knew too much about the systems behind our stuff and still felt stuck. I couldn’t imagine how other parents were supposed to figure this out without support.
That night changed everything. My mission became crystal clear. I wasn’t going to keep waiting for someone else to fix it. I would build the thing I wish I had.
Nest Earth is for them. For my kids. For yours. It’s my way of giving them the best possible future—and not just hoping someone else will.
I see my mission every single day. It asks for snacks, leaves toys everywhere, and calls me mama. That’s why I do this.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Gabi Fiorentino. I’m a sustainability strategist, a mom of two, and the founder of Nest Earth. My work sits at the intersection of wellness, conscious living, and real life—because trying to live more sustainably shouldn’t feel like a full-time job or something reserved for people with unlimited time and money.
I didn’t get into this field through a straight line. I studied architecture and urban design because I cared about the environment and how the systems we build affect people’s lives. But it wasn’t until I became a mom that all of it hit a lot deeper. Suddenly, I was making decisions every day that felt out of sync with what I believed in—buying things I didn’t feel good about, feeling overwhelmed by all the noise, and wondering how the hell anyone was supposed to make aligned choices while also keeping small humans alive. That’s when the work shifted from theory to real-life practice.
Nest Earth exists to support families, schools, and small businesses who want to align their values with their daily habits and operations—but need it to feel manageable and grounded. There are two main ways I do this. The first is through personalized consulting for families who want to create healthier, low-tox homes. That might mean a single strategy session to get clarity or a full hands-on reset where we take it one room at a time and build systems that actually support their day-to-day. The second piece is our community. The Nest Earth community is a space for parents who want to live more intentionally without the overwhelm. It includes a self-paced course, live events, expert guidance, and support from others who are walking a similar path. It’s not about doing everything perfectly—it’s about figuring out what works for your life and sticking with it.
I also work with schools and small businesses to improve their operations, reduce waste, and build wellness and sustainability practices that actually benefit their bottom line. We’re often able to unlock new savings and revenue streams just by shifting what they’re already doing into something more aligned.
What sets Nest Earth apart is that it’s rooted in the messiness of real life. I meet people where they’re at. I’m not here to shame anyone or add more to their plate—I’m here to help them make changes that feel good and last.
What I’m most proud of is that this isn’t just a brand. It’s a support system. It’s something I needed when I was trying to figure this all out, and now I get to offer that to others. Whether someone’s starting small or ready to dive in, I’m here for the in-between, the figuring-it-out, and the imperfect progress that adds up to real change.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
In the early days of Nest Earth, I honestly had no idea what I was doing. I had this strong feeling that there needed to be a space for parents who wanted to live more intentionally, but I didn’t know what it would look like or how to start. I was still in the thick of postpartum depression after having my second baby. I was working part-time, caring for two little ones full-time, and most days I was just trying to make it through.
I would ask myself, what is this idea, really? Can I even do this? I was building something without a clear map, and I had no time to figure it all out. I led with the vision for about a year and a half, trying to stay connected to the purpose, but I felt stuck in place. When my daughter was six months old, I started trying to implement more of the actual pieces of the business, and it still felt like I was just guessing.
Someone once told me, clarity comes from action. That really stuck with me. Because every time I took even one small step, even if it was messy, things became a little more clear. I hosted a few events, shared what I was doing, and one day a mom came up to me and said, “Thank you. I had no idea about any of this. I’m so glad you put this together.” That moment reminded me this isn’t just an idea in my head. It matters. It’s helping people.
Resilience for me has looked like showing up when I wanted to walk away. It’s looked like moving forward even when I was overwhelmed, unclear, and tired. I’ve had plenty of moments where I’ve said, I need a break. I don’t know if I can keep doing this. But I always come back to the reason why I started. I see it in front of me every day. And that keeps me going.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think it’s been about showing up with honesty and consistency. I’ve built Nest Earth from real-life experience, not from a polished version of what sustainable living “should” look like. I don’t try to be the expert who has it all figured out. I speak as a mom who’s in it too—figuring things out as I go, learning, simplifying, trying again. That’s what people connect with.
I’ve also focused on making things feel doable. So much of the eco space can be overwhelming or all-or-nothing. I try to cut through that and offer something that meets people where they are. Whether they’re just starting out or already deep into their low-tox journey, I create tools and spaces that feel supportive, not performative.
A lot of my work has grown through personal connections and word of mouth. People tend to share when something feels genuinely helpful. I think that’s what’s helped the most—not a big marketing budget, just building something people trust because it comes from a place of care.
