We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Spicy Lee Jones. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Spicy Lee below.
Hi Spicy Lee , thanks for joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
The most meaningful project our company has worked on was organizing and hosting a (7) person comedy show at the Fort Lauderdale Improv in May. Traditionally, we are experts at putting together variety shows and smaller comedy shows at more local venues. However, this was the first project our company had where we needed to organize logistics and talent for over 150 to 200 patrons. We applied what we normally do as far as talent acquisition and research of how these larger shows are typically carried out. Organizing large shows are typically more challenging because having to manage people arriving on-time, agreeing on certain pay and other logistics which require everyone to be on the same page to make a show smooth usually turns out extremely well or a complete disaster if not supported by the right team and talent.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
A little bit about me my name is Lee Natale and I am a South Florida comic and Comedy/Movie Producer for Puadafa Productions. I am known as one of the most controversial comedians in South Florida drawing similar sets as famous comedians like Jimmy Carr, Big Jay Oakerson and Anthony Jeselnik. Our company primarily has two separate divisions. The first is the All-Arts side where we run (3) weekly open-mic’s where local people can come showcase their talent. While the bulk of that talent is comedy, we have musicians, Poets and other entertainment that performs weekly. Part of those open mic’s is our talent pool where we act as agents for up and coming talent. We book these performers at venues and act as a middle-man service to facilitate shows. The second part of our company is the movie production side where we create short films and even longer films to present to the public at our weekly all-arts forums. Typically these movies are shown at booked events where larger crowds can view these films after a major comedy show.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
The biggest resource I wish I knew earlier was using multiple platforms to network within the entertainment industry rather than just one or two or just relying on people we know or that we’re friends with. Using larger platforms like Linked-In as an example could have put us in touch with larger networks and producers faster.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
The video’s that are most inspiring are those of comedy or music that keep the audience engaged.
