Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Johann Heemurz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Johann , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
One of the biggest, life-changing risks I ever took was leaving everything behind family, stability, and a sense of safety to chase a vision only I could see. I was kicked out of my parents’ home and found myself homeless in the heart of Manhattan. No backup plan. No safety net. Just faith, paint, and raw determination.
I was sleeping in places most people avoid Times Square benches, stairwells but I refused to let the circumstances define me. That was the moment I risked it all on me. I started painting not on canvases, but on clothes. Denim, jackets, sneakers. Whatever I could get my hands on. Art became my voice when I had nothing left to say.
Eventually, that risk led to my first collaboration with a celebrity a surreal moment considering just weeks before I was struggling to eat. That connection snowballed into more opportunities, and I went from sleeping outside to seeing my work worn on stages and in music videos.
That risk birthed Macieago my brand that fuses fashion, art, and individuality. It’s more than a label. It’s my story stitched into every piece.
Taking that leap didn’t just change my life it gave me one. It reminded me that when the world gives you no doors, sometimes you have to paint your own.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
For readers who may not have heard about me before, my name is Izarya Rawchaa also known professionally as Johann Heemurz or simply Heemurz. I’m a multidisciplinary creative: a visionary fashion designer, painter, musician, and problem-solver. I’m also the founder of Macieago, a brand that merges art, fashion, and individuality to challenge the norm and inspire self-expression.
My journey into this world wasn’t polished or traditional. It began through adversity. I faced homelessness in Manhattan, sleeping in Times Square with nothing but faith and a few belongings. During that time, I picked up a brush and started painting clothing not just for survival, but because it was the only way I knew to express what I was going through. That moment became the turning point. My first celebrity client saw what I created and believed in my work, and from there, everything began to shift.
Since then, I’ve created hand-painted fashion masterpieces, styled artists in the music , curated my own fashion shows, and been featured in media for my unique, one-of-a-kind designs. My pieces are wearable art clothing that tells a story, provokes thought, and honors the journey of resilience.
What I offer:
• Custom, hand-painted apparel: Each piece is a limited edition or one-of-one design.
• Fashion design & styling for public figures, musicians, and creatives.
• Beat production for fashion shows, performances, and motivational content.
• Creative direction & brand consultation for those looking to build something meaningful and original.
• Spoken and written motivation: I help others solve extreme personal, family, relationship, or business issues with a creative lens it’s more than advice; it’s a transformation.
What sets me apart is my heart. I genuinely care about people. My goal isn’t just to sell clothes or make beats it’s to help people become the person they dream of being. I use my creativity to uplift others, and everything I create from fashion to sound to words is rooted in purpose and love for humanity.
People buy into my work because they feel it. Whether it’s a hoodie, a mural, or a runway moment, my art carries spirit and intention. My brand Macieago isn’t just about looking good it’s about remembering that you’re golden, no matter what you’ve been through. That’s why my personal quote is:
“Stay Golden !” because your light is still in you, even when life tries to dim it.
I’m most proud of never giving up. I turned pain into power, and now I use that power to help others shine. Whether I’m painting a jacket, mentoring a young creative, or producing beats that speak to the soul my work is a reminder that art can save, heal, and transform.
To future clients, fans, and supporters my work isn’t just about creating, it’s about building real connections. This is more than art or fashion it’s a movement, a mindset, a wave of purpose. Step into this journey with me and feel the energy, the intention, the golden light behind everything I do.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
There was a time when I had no home, no money, and no clear path just faith and a dream. I was sleeping in Times Square in the middle of Manhattan, carrying my clothes in a bag and my purpose in my heart. Every day felt like a battle to survive, but I refused to let my circumstances define me. I remember sitting on a bench with a paintbrush and a denim jacket I had found. I started painting on it not because I was trying to sell it, but because it was the only way I knew how to express everything I was going through.
That jacket changed my life.
Someone stopped me in the street and asked where I got it. When I told them I painted it myself, they didn’t see a homeless kid they saw an artist. That moment led to my first collaboration with a celebrity, and from there, doors began to open. Not all at once, but just enough to keep moving forward.
What I learned in that season is that resilience isn’t just about surviving hard times it’s about choosing to create beauty in the middle of them. I didn’t wait for things to get better. I used what I had, where I was, and I made something meaningful out of it. That mindset still drives everything I do today.
Now when people wear my designs or hear my story, they’re not just supporting a brand they’re carrying a piece of that resilience with them. A reminder that no matter how dark it gets, you can still shine.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
At the heart of my creative journey is a mission that goes beyond fashion, art, or music. My goal is to inspire people to rise no matter where they come from, what they’ve been through, or how lost they may feel. I want my work to be proof that you can turn pain into power, struggle into style, and setbacks into something sacred.
Through my brand Macieago and everything I create, my mission is to:
• Uplift the unheard
• Represent the overlooked
• Transform brokenness into beauty
I’m not here to follow trends I’m here to start movements. Whether it’s through a one-of-one hand-painted jacket, a motivational beat, or a conversation that changes someone’s mindset, everything I do is rooted in purpose.
I want people to see themselves in my work and feel like: “If he made it through that, maybe I can too.”
At the end of the day, my mission is to help people believe in themselves again, to remind them to stay golden, and to leave a legacy that shows how creativity can heal, connect, and change lives.
