Alright, Crystal thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

I grew up in a very small town in the heart of the Midwest where everyone knows your name (and your business). It’s a place where majority of people think the same and conform to “traditional” standards and ideas of living, and those that thrive are the ones that never stray outside the lines.

In 2021, I came out of the spiritual closet as a Psychic Medium, which, for someone coming from a place with zero stoplights yet five different churches, it felt like I had set myself ablaze for the whole town to watch me burn. It was a massive risk to take my business public, but it set the stage for me to fully own my gifts while also moving through the grief and uncomfortability of being criticized and left behind by those who disagreed.

At the beginning of my business, I longed for relocation – a way to tap into more accepting and larger spiritual communities. I no longer lived in my hometown, but I was still a short drive away and still in the heart of Kansas where I assumed everyone was closed off and would judge me for owning the calling my Soul brought me to.

We live in a digital age that allows us to curate our feeds and block and remove where we don’t feel safe or accepted. I hid in the safety of the online space where I found incredible clients all over the world who were not just accepting but seeking the kind of support and connection I provided, but it wasn’t long before I was guided to come out fully and face the music.

Without taking that risk, I would’ve remained a shadow of myself. Hiding and playing small in my business to keep myself safe from the judgements and opinions of others. Instead, I was able to heal the parts of me that were afraid of being seen, and I’ve found that yes, even in Kansas, there is an incredible and welcoming spiritual community that I’m just now starting to tap into.

That risk in 2021 has shaped my confidence, my business, and how I show up in my every day life. Able to be fully myself. Loving and appreciating all parts of me – even the ones that no everyone agrees with. It was, by far, the best risk I could’ve ever taken in my business and for my own spiritual growth.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I came into awareness of my gifts as a Psychic Medium through a monumental breakdown. It was one of those points in life where you question your purpose and scream at the Universe, begging to know if you’re really here for more or if this is all there is left in the world. I’d received a reading from a wonderful woman – only my second reading ever – where she told me mediumship development would help get me where I needed to go. I signed up for the class that Spirit dropped in my inbox just a few short days later, and by the second week of mediumship development, my psychic gifts came online, and I started delivering in-depth psychic readings for class participants and never looked back.

I’ve spent the past several years teaching psychic development, mentoring clients all over the world, and helping others tap into their psychic gifts easily and confidently. I now offer a self-paced course, The Budding Psychic, that teaches anyone how to connect with their Spirit Guides and receive messages for themselves and others, and I run an online membership, Sacred Business Community, where I support entrepreneurs in utilizing their intuitive connection to run their business from soul alignment rather than forced tactics.

I’ve found that most people think it has to be hard to learn how to communicate with their Guides and tap into their inherent spiritual gifts, but the truth is, the more complicated it’s made, the harder it becomes. I’ve successfully trained every one of my clients over the years to receive easily, confidently, and accurately because I teach from simplicity – and everything I do is channeled through me from my Guides and Higher Self, ensuring it’s exactly what’s needed for the highest good and nothing more that might confuse and complicate the process for my students. Later this year, I will be opening the doors for The School of Psychics, where I’ll offer online courses and group opportunities to learn and develop in a multitude of ways.

I’m most proud of the integrity I honor in this work. I have very strict boundaries and rules regarding psychic mediumship, and I’m known for giving it to my clients straight. So many practitioners filter or gatekeep the information coming through for a client because they’re bringing their human judgements into the mix and deciding what should or shouldn’t be shared. I live (and teach) by the rule that you give what you get, always setting the intention to connect to what will serve the highest good for all. I think the more we can get away from determining what another person is or isn’t ready to here and into honoring the fact that the World of Spirit knows better than we do what they need, the more we will grow and succeed as a spiritual community. Honoring the purity and integrity without allowing our human to interfere. Again and again, my testimonials reflect the appreciation for the fact that I honor giving what I get, even when it might not be what they want to hear in the moment, and I’m extremely proud of that fact. I’m on a mission to change the stigma around psychic work, and that begins with a solid foundation in me holding myself and my work to the highest level of integrity.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Honesty and integrity 100%. I started very early on in my career offering “Questions for Your Guides” in Instagram Stories. This is back when Stories were only 15 seconds each. I would put a question box in my Story to allow people to either leave and emoji or ask a specific question, and I would respond with the channeled message coming through from their Guides.

15 seconds wasn’t a lot of time, and quite frankly, it was a pain in the rear to record eight different Stories just to share a two minute channeled message because I’d have to pull up the question box for each person every single time. But I did it, and I LOVED doing it because it gave me the opportunity to just be in my connection and give back to the people in my audience. I didn’t charge for these readings, but it was the perfect way for people to get to know me and see that no matter what, I was going to honor the message coming through and give them what I was getting even when it might’ve stung or not been what they wanted to hear.

I still offer these to this day and love being able to connect with my audience in this way!

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

Just being myself. There are a million different ways we’re taught to grow our businesses online, and the truth is, it all comes down to just being yourself. There is no perfect marketing strategy. There’s just you being you. Being real. Being authentic. And I know that’s become such a watered down term, but it’s so SO important.

I channel all my content. I don’t show up online when I don’t feel called. I don’t force or hustle or push anything, and doing business as I am psychically guided has allowed me to grow to over six figures with an audience of less than 500 people. I’ve never had to sacrifice who I am or what I believe in, and I’ve had the incredible pleasure of working with some of the most wonderful human beings on the planet. It can’t get better than that!
