We were lucky to catch up with Kelsey Chmiel recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kelsey, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about how you went about setting up your own practice and if you have any advice for professionals who might be considering starting their own?
The first Premier Health location was opened up in 1983 in Roseville, MN. Since that time, five more clinics have been opened within the Twin Cities. Every location is independently owned and operated, however by uniting with similar patient care philosophies, Premier Health can expand their service to a larger community base,
Premier Health of Coon Rapids was first opened on October 13, 2014 with a team of only two people Premier health of Coon Rapids was born. Dr.Kelsey has been practicing chiropractic care for over 10 years. She has built a clinic from the ground up. Our office is a complete female-run clinic. My goal behind this work is to create a well-run, efficient system that ensures patients have a WOW experience each time they visit. We have a wonderful acupuncturist, and we have added another chiropractor due to growth. Dr.Kelsey’s ability to make each patient feel heard and seen is what sets her apart from others. At Premier Health we want the best for our patients and are committed to providing outstanding services that leave a lasting impression!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My goal is to encourage our patients to take ownership in their health by educating how daily habits can manifest into larger problems or solutions. Helping patients to understand not just what the problem is but also why it occurred, and how they can affect the future outcome offers and opportunity to conquer it together!

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
We aim to outperform the rest of the chiropractic chiropractic clinic. We do this with tremendous communication along with our desire to create an atmosphere where each patient feels optimally healed. We are committed to ther services that enable us to create a larger impact on the community.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Learning the 5 languages of Appreciation in the workplace has been a huge impact for staff and management. Understanding how to communicate with each employee and doctor thru their own language was huge. This book by Gary Chapman and Paul White is a must read!
