We recently connected with Dr. Cyntia Brown and have shared our conversation below.
Dr. Cyntia, appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
At Kopela Health, our mission is to help women take control of their fertility and hormone health through evidence-based, personalized care. But the story behind it is deeply personal.
I built Kopela Health after navigating my own complex health and fertility challenges that weren’t solved by the traditional healthcare system. As a Clinical Pharmacologist, I could see how disconnected standard care was from what women actually needed: a full-picture understanding of their hormones, metabolism, and nutrition; not just prescriptions or quick fixes.
I also saw how many women were being pushed straight to interventions without anyone addressing the root causes of why they weren’t conceiving or thriving hormonally in the first place.
This mission matters to me because I’ve lived it and I know the power of getting the right support at the right time. Now I work to give other women what I wish I had: clear, science-based guidance that respects both their time and their bodies.
At the core, this is about helping women reclaim agency over their health and fertility, which is still too often treated as a black box or afterthought in conventional care.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Dr. Cyntia Brown, a Clinical Pharmacologist and the founder of Kopela Health, where we help women optimize their fertility and hormone health through personalized, evidence-based care.
My path into this field wasn’t a straight line. I spent 13 years in biochemistry, pharmacy, and clinical research—building drug simulations, designing clinical trials, and studying how medications interact with the body. On paper, I was at the top of my game. But behind the scenes, I was struggling with my own health: diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, weight gain, and fertility issues.
Like so many women, I found the conventional medical system didn’t have good answers. I was offered medications, surgery, and quick-fix treatments that ignored the root causes of what was happening in my body. That experience shifted everything for me. I became determined to understand how to truly heal—not just manage—complex hormone and metabolic issues.
That’s how Kopela Health was born.
We provide a range of services, including:
Fertility optimization programs for women trying to conceive—both naturally and alongside IVF/IUI.
Hormone balancing programs for women managing PCOS, endometriosis, perimenopause, and postpartum recovery.
Lab testing and advanced clinical insights—helping women understand their hormone labs, metabolism, and egg quality in a way that most providers don’t explain.
Digital courses and community resources so women can learn and implement evidence-based strategies at their own pace.
At our core, we solve a big problem: women are often told their fertility and hormone health are mysteries or that their only option is IVF or medication. I believe women deserve better. They deserve clear, actionable insights about their own bodies, and care that respects both science and the lived female experience.
What sets Kopela Health apart is that we bridge the best of both worlds: clinical pharmacology and holistic women’s health. We don’t rely on vague wellness trends, but we also don’t limit ourselves to the one-size-fits-all approach of conventional medicine. Every protocol we create is grounded in clinical data, but personalized to the unique biology and life of each woman we work with.
I’m most proud of the women we’ve helped who thought they had no options left: women who had been through failed IVF cycles, years of unexplained infertility, or who simply didn’t feel like themselves anymore. Seeing them regain their health, their cycles, and in many cases, conceive naturally, is incredibly rewarding.
If there’s one thing I’d want readers to know about me and about Kopela Health, it’s this: your body is not broken. There are so many levers you can pull to improve fertility, hormones, and overall health, and you deserve a care team that will help you understand and use those levers. That’s what we do every day at Kopela Health.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I built my social media audience by focusing on education first and sales second. When I first started posting, I noticed that a lot of fertility and women’s health content online was either extremely generic or fear-based. I wanted to create a space where women could learn why their bodies do what they do, in clear, empowering language—without being sold an empty promise or a magic fix.
I started by sharing what I knew best: how hormones, metabolism, and fertility really work. I took concepts I use in clinical pharmacology and translated them into everyday language women could actually use. Over time, this started to resonate.
A few things helped me grow consistently:
I treated each post as a small teaching moment, not just a piece of marketing.
I shared both scientific insights and personal stories, which built trust and relatability.
I engaged with my community, answering DMs and comments so women felt heard.
I leaned into platforms where my audience spends time—right now that’s Instagram, TikTok, and Threads.
My advice for anyone just starting:
Remember why you’re showing up and who you want to help. Be clear on what you want your audience to feel or know after they engage with your content. Are you there to educate? Inspire? Offer community? The clearer you are on that, the easier it will be to attract the right people and stay consistent.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
A lot of women find me through Instagram or TikTok because they’re searching for answers about fertility or hormone health. My content focuses on helping them understand their bodies in a more scientific, empowering way.
