Hi Columbus , thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

that’s a very simple answer but yet very broad…emotions, I am an emotionally driven person. I started singing and writing music as an outlet for my severe depression and anxiety. At the time I started I was severely depressed, felt alone and like nobody was actually listening to how I felt so I put how I was feeling into song form to make it “easier” on the ears and so people would actually listen to me and understand where I was coming from. over time my love for singing and writing grew even stronger and became my way to tell my story and be voice for those who don’t know how to express themselves, feel alone, or have experienced similar trials in their lives; from break ups, to feel good music, to expressing their love for someone. I feel like my soul purpose of being an R&B artist in a newer generation is to bring R&b back to the essence of what it used to be, taking real life feelings and expressing them to the world so that they can relate.

Im Columbus Berry an R&b singer and songwriter from Wichita Kansas that now resides in Tampa, Florida. I got into the music industry to make music that is realistic and that your everyday person can experience and relate to, and also express to others that is is okay to feel, its okay to cry, hurt, and be down in the dumps. when listening to me expect to hear music that is sexy, passionate, catchy, realistic and down right good quality. my main goal as an artist is to let my fans and supporter understand that I too am human just. like you, if I can express myself so can you.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

the main goal for me is to be in the room with great names and my idols such as Chris brown, Eric Berlinger, Stevie Mackey, just to name a few and making amazing music. most importantly to learn from the greats in the r&b field of music.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

definitely my personality and how I carry myself along with the “loud” clothes I wear lol. when I step foot in a room you will know i’m there and that you can also right up to me and have an everyday conversation. I would also like to think Im a decent singer as well.
