We recently connected with Luana Leventhal and have shared our conversation below.
Luana , appreciate you joining us today. In our experience, overnight success is usually the result of years of hard work laying the foundation for success, but unfortunately, it’s exactly this part of the story that most of the media ignores. So, we’d appreciate if you could open up about your growth story and the nitty, gritty details that went into scaling up.
Social Media played a huge part in my growth and scaling. I started my career in an area where I had no sphere of influence or friends/family. I was able to connect and create personal connections through being my authentic self on social media channels.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I got into the industry by accident but I truly believe everything happens for a reason! I was in college to become a teacher and I started Real Estate because my then boyfriend (now husband) came from a RE background and his cousin needed a portuguese speaker to fill a position asap. He signed me up for my class and I passed the first time.
Fast forward to today, and I really cannot imagine doing anything else. I started in a down market, and really had to find a way to create opportunities. I am a problem solver by nature and don’t really take no for an answer and I think that resonates well with my clients. I was not a true resident of Davenport when I first got started so I really leaned on social media to connect me with partners and clients in the area.
I think challenges have really propelled me forward! We create our own luck!
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Consistency! Business is so personal and I strive to create a concierge style experience for my clients – where they don’t feel like they. had to lift a finger. We have lots of laughs along the way, too! Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest moment in most people’s lives and that is not something to be taken lightly.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
In Polk County, a lot of relationships are made with a handshake! I really invest in my local community and take part in all that is has to offer. I always try to be a resource and to provide value with my local knowledge. I have seen our area grow and evolve and I enjoy researching all that is to come, too!
