We were lucky to catch up with Emily Moore recently and have shared our conversation below.
Emily , appreciate you joining us today. Folks often look at a successful business and imagine it was an overnight success, but from what we’ve seen this is often far from the truth. We’d love to hear your scaling up story – walk us through how you grew over time – what were some of the big things you had to do to grow and what was that scaling up journey like?
Scaling Isn’t Glamorous, It’s Gritty—but It’s Worth It
People often assume I had a big break or some shortcut that launched my businesses into success. The truth? There was no overnight miracle—just the long, uncomfortable, and often invisible middle. The stretch where you’re clocking 14-hour days, fixing what breaks before anyone notices, and constantly evolving.
In the beginning, I relied heavily on hustle. But hustle alone doesn’t scale. The real turning point came when I applied the same systems, automations, and marketing strategies we built for clients to my own business. That’s when everything changed.
As an AI development and marketing company, we didn’t just talk about innovation—we built it into our foundation. We developed intelligent systems that work for us around the clock. AI doesn’t take coffee breaks, get overwhelmed, or forget to follow up. It automates the tedious but necessary work—follow-ups, onboarding, lead tracking, client workflows—freeing me to operate in my genius zone: strategy, vision, relationships, and impact.
What Moved the Needle:
I invested in the right people. My ops manager, automation lead, and project team weren’t just skilled—they were aligned with the mission.
I replaced repetitive tasks with custom-built AI systems. These systems delivered value 24/7, even while I was offline.
I led with transparency. In a noisy industry, trust became our differentiator. Our consistency, results, and human-centered approach helped us scale not just revenue—but reputation.
Of course, it wasn’t smooth sailing. I underpriced our services early on. I held on to roles and relationships longer than I should have. I said yes when I should have protected my energy. But every obstacle sharpened my clarity, strengthened my systems, and pushed me to lead better.
My biggest lesson? Don’t wait to scale smart. You don’t have to wear every hat forever. Delegate what drains you. Automate what doesn’t need your brain. Elevate what makes you unstoppable.
Today, AI runs quietly in the background while I focus on what only I love doing. That’s not just scaling. That’s freedom.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Emily Moore — a strategist, speaker, and the unapologetically passionate force behind Lingows and Project Summit Networking. I’ve led multiple tech companies over the past two decades, and my true superpower lies in making technology approachable and demystifying the fear around AI.
I help entrepreneurs and organizations cut through the chaos with AI-powered growth strategies, high-converting websites, and scalable systems that actually work while you sleep.
I didn’t just enter this industry — I built my own lane. With 20+ years of entrepreneurial grit, I’ve combined the sharp edge of tech with the heart of human connection to deliver business solutions that are intelligent, intentional, and wildly effective.
What do we do?
We specialize in:
•AI-driven SEO that brings in qualified traffic like clockwork — not just rankings, but results
•AI advertising systems that generate leads 24/7 — yes, even while our clients are on vacation or getting a full night’s sleep
•Custom websites designed to convert — fast, beautiful, and fully optimized under the hood
•Strategy and mentorship — especially for women entrepreneurs — to build profitable businesses without losing themselves in the process
We’ve helped nearly every industry — from healthcare to home services, coaching to construction, wellness to legal — and we have a serious passion for serving small and mid-sized businesses. The backbone of our economy is built on entrepreneurs who wear too many hats, and we’re here to take a few of those off their heads and turn them into systems that actually scale.
Most of our clients come to us when they’re overwhelmed, overextended, or just plain done with tech that doesn’t deliver. We bring clarity, traction, and calm to the chaos. The systems we build don’t just look good — they get to work so our clients can finally breathe, scale, and show up as the CEO they were meant to be.
What sets us apart?
We don’t follow trends — we build what works. We infuse every project with AI not for the buzz, but for the measurable momentum it creates. Lead pipelines fill up, conversions improve, and business owners finally get the time and space to enjoy the life they’ve built.
What I’m most proud of?
It’s watching clients go from surviving to scaling — from being stuck in the weeds to waking up to leads already in the inbox. We’ve helped business owners finally fall back in love with what they do — because their business finally feels like it’s working for them, not the other way around.
At the end of the day, I want people to know this:
You don’t have to hustle harder — you just need smarter systems. And that’s exactly what we build. Business should feel free, not frantic. With the right AI strategies and automation, it can be both high-tech and deeply human.
If you’re ready for growth that doesn’t burn you out — we’re your team

Can you talk to us about your experience with selling businesses?
Yes, I have sold a business — and it was one of the most liberating and defining moments of my entrepreneurial journey.
When you’ve built something from scratch, selling isn’t just a business decision — it’s an emotional evolution. That company served its purpose in my life and in the lives of the people we helped, but I knew deep down it was time to let go so I could step fully into the next level of who I was becoming.
What made it easier was knowing I had built it right — with strong systems, recurring revenue, a clear brand, and an impact that stood on its own. The business wasn’t just functional — it was valuable. That clarity came from learning how to separate myself from the operations and focus on scalability from day one.
What I learned is this: the way you build matters. Whether or not you plan to sell, you should build a business that can thrive without you. That’s what gives you options. That’s what creates freedom. And that’s exactly what I help others do now — especially small and mid-sized business owners who are still too deep in the weeds

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
When you’re in technology, you’re always pivoting. Innovation doesn’t wait — and neither can we.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that staying ahead isn’t just a competitive advantage — it’s a responsibility. If I’m going to help my clients navigate change with confidence, I have to be willing to face it head-on myself.
There have been moments where a platform update, a shift in the digital landscape, or an AI breakthrough completely disrupted the way we delivered results. Instead of resisting it, we lean in. Whether that meant reengineering ad strategies overnight, integrating new automation tools, or rethinking how SEO works in the age of machine learning — we adapt fast so our clients don’t fall behind.
The real pivot is mindset. We don’t build businesses that rely on trends — we build ones that respond to them. Agility is built into our systems, and that’s what keeps us and the businesses we serve not just current, but leading.
So yes — in tech, pivoting isn’t a one-time story. It’s the job. And we embrace it, because progress waits for no one — and we’re here to help others stay ready for what’s next
