We were lucky to catch up with Mariah Frisella recently and have shared our conversation below.
Mariah, appreciate you joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
I had what most envied. I had a successful and decorated nursing career of 11 years. I was well respected by my patients, peers, and providers. I had dedicated the last 15 years of my life to serving others in the best way I possibly could when I was faced with the biggest decision of my life.
In 2021, I was faced with losing my job or taking something I didn’t feel comfortable with. I realized that sticking to my convictions meant risking it all and putting my career, pay, reputation all on the line. I ultimately chose to stay true to my beliefs and ended up losing my job because of that.
I had a few months after this where I felt lost, I felt lost in my next steps, lost in my identity as a nurse, and lost in how to provide for my family and two young kids. Through connections and close groups, I was able to find support in my community and recognized that so many people were going through the same thing, risking it all.
Everything about me is consumed with helping other people; sometimes this means in a clinical, nurse setting and sometimes this is encouraging a loved one how to be the best version of themselves. I encountered a need for community outreach locally in New Hampshire. Through talking with other health care professionals, it was evident what my next step was going to be.
I was on a walk one morning in March, 2022, when the next step hit me. If I could not find what I was looking for in healthcare, I needed to create that. After months of planning; Origin Wellness Co. was born. We offer mobile IV hydration infusions and are proud to employ some of the very best nurses and nurse practitioners in the state, bringing wellness to your doorstep.
The very best thing that happened to me was taking. a risk and ultimately what felt like losing for so long really has turned into winning for my community and my team.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I have been in the healthcare industry for 15 years, the last 11 as a Registered Nurse hold my Bachelors Degree in Science (BSN, RN). Origin Wellness Co. offers a wide variety of Mobile IV hydration services. We treat hangovers, migraines, weakened immune systems, dehydration, poor energy, fatigue, nausea and more.
At Origin Wellness Co. we value your time and full-body wellness, and it is our top priority to honor both. Bringing our services to you allows for you to get your time back while returning your body back to its origin.
I am proud to say we are the only nurse owned and operated Mobile IV hydration provider in New Hampshire. We bring 60+ combined years of experience with our team and are committed to provide the best service to your door step. Origin Wellness can accommodate for private and corporate events and parties, small or large groups, and personalized one-on-one care in your home, office, or other location.
Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Nursing is a unique profession in that it is a necessity to attend nursing school, sit for your boards after graduation, and then become licensed. Entry into nursing is not for the fait of heart and takes years of school, hardworking, and dedication. With that being said, not all nurses are the same. Although your training could be the same, your approach and practice is unique to you. The most helpful piece of advice I have to share is to become a leader. Becoming a leader in any role of your career is immensely valuable not only to the organization in which you work for but also to your patients/clients and fellow coworkers. It is our duty as nurses to provide the best care possible and continue to advocate for the best outcomes. Limiting beliefs will set nurses back and ideas that they cannot lead in their staff nurse position is just false, any nurse, at any level can lead and I feel it is our duty and obligation to be leaders.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Building trust in our market has been organic for Origin Wellness from the very beginning. We strategically hired on nurses and providers that already had an outstanding reputation of excellence in our community. Not only do we have some of the highest skilled and trained team members, we all have a core mission which is to provide the highest level of wellness to our community. It is a requirement for our team members to have excellent character. At Origin Wellness, we believe that skills are vastly important but what is equally if not more important is how we interact, care for, and relate to our clientele. Our core values include integrity, honesty, respect, ambition, educator, and quality- these are key aspects that we hold high regard for and our team excels in. Our clients see our core values in action with every encounter we have with them and through this, we have become New Hampshire’s premier mobile IV infusion service.
