We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lola Denwe. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lola below.
Lola, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I believe success is defined differently by each person, it all depends on what it means to you. For me, success means growth, identity, and a changed mindset. Let me break that down.
1. Changing Your Mindset
Real success begins in the mind. It’s about being intentional and developing the discipline to focus on what you can do & not what you lack. I grew up believing that success meant getting a formal education and following a specific path. I thought if I checked all the boxes, I would automatically feel successful. But even when I reached some of those goals, the feeling didn’t always follow.
I had to shift my thinking. I began asking myself, “What if I actually can do this?” and “What if I stopped letting fear or distractions hold me back?” That’s when things started to change. Success, to me, starts when you train your mind to believe you’re capable.
2. Identity
This one is big. You can have all the money in the world, but if you don’t know who you are, it can all feel empty. There is something powerful about truly knowing your identity. When you’re rooted in who you are, no one can take that away because it comes from within. That internal clarity becomes the foundation for everything else you build.
3. Growth
Growth ties everything together. It’s the evidence of a changed mindset and a deepening identity. I can honestly say I feel successful not because of how much money I’ve made or how many bookings I’ve had but because of how this business has challenged and grown me. It’s shaped how I think, how I show up, and how I lead. And that personal growth is priceless.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Lola Denwe, and I’m the owner of Youtopia Events and Rentals, a luxury photo booth and event rental business based in Dallas, Texas. I’m also a wife, a mother, and a registered nurse. My journey into this industry came from a desire to create experiences that make people feel seen, celebrated, and remembered.
I started Youtopia with the goal of combining creativity, intentionality, and aesthetic into a business that does more than just take pictures or deliver items. I wanted to create moments. I wanted every client and guest who interacts with our photo booths or rentals to walk away saying, “That was unforgettable.”
What We Do at Youtopia
Youtopia offers:
Luxury Photo Booth Experiences (DSLR booths, 360, and selfie booths)
Event Rentals (custom decor setups, backdrops, floral arrangements, and unique event items)
Branded Experiences for corporate events, weddings, parties, festivals, and more
We provide custom overlays, prop towers, floral arrangements, and stylish backdrops designed to match your event vibe. We also offer digital galleries, on-site curators, and delivery/setup/teardown — taking the stress off our clients and giving them a polished, luxury experience from start to finish.
What Sets Youtopia Apart
What sets us apart isn’t just the high-quality visuals or beautiful setups it’s the intention behind everything we do. From the moment someone inquires to the moment the last guest steps off the booth, our goal is to make sure every detail reflects excellence.
We’re not just in the business of photo booths — we’re in the business of capturing joy, elevating events, and making people feel amazing. Whether it’s a couple on their big day, a brand launching a new product, or a child at their first birthday party, we aim to create a “Youtopia” — Your Vision, Our Lens.
What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m most proud of the growth that’s come from building this brand. I’ve poured my heart into every setup, every event, and every client interaction — and it’s grown me in ways I didn’t expect. From navigating business decisions to expanding into new services, I’ve learned that success isn’t about perfection — it’s about showing up, staying true to your purpose, and continuing to evolve.
What I Want You to Know
Youtopia is a reflection of who I am: visionary, driven, and rooted in purpose. We don’t just show up with a booth and leave. We craft an intentional, luxury, and fun experience — one that your guests will remember long after the photos are taken.
So whether you’re planning a wedding, a corporate event, or a celebration of any kind, just know this: when you book Youtopia, you’re booking more than a service — you’re stepping into an experience!

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One moment that really tested my resilience was when I was working a demanding night shift as a nurse while trying to build Youtopia from the ground up. I was exhausted physically, emotionally, and mentally. I remember coming home after a long night, barely getting any sleep, and having to head out to an event just hours later with barely any energy left in me.
But I showed up. I set up the booth, greeted guests with a smile, and gave them an experience they would never forget — even though I was running on fumes. I remember driving home that night thinking, “This is hard, but this is what I’m meant to do.”
It wasn’t glamorous, but it was a turning point. That day taught me that building something meaningful doesn’t always feel good in the moment but it’s in those hard, quiet, unseen moments that your purpose gets tested and refined.
There were times I questioned if I could keep juggling it all motherhood, nursing, business ownership but I kept showing up. I kept pushing past the doubt, the exhaustion, and the fear of failing. And now, every time a client tells me that my Photo Booth was the highlight of their event, or that I made their special day even more memorable, it reminds me that the sacrifices were worth it.
That resilience to keep going even when no one’s clapping, to bet on yourself even when you’re tired that’s what’s helped me build Youtopia into what it is today and it’s still growing!

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Honestly, the best source of new clients for me has been word of mouth. Most of the people who book Youtopia come to me because someone they trust recommended our photo booth, not just the photos, but how they felt during the event. I’ve also had a few bookings come through Facebook Marketplace, which has helped me connect with people looking for something unique but accessible.
But at the end of the day, I truly believe this:
People may forget what you said to them, but they will never forget how you made them feel.
That’s the core of how Youtopia has grown by creating unforgettable experiences. It’s the way we show up early, pay attention to every detail, and treat every guest like the most important person in the room. It’s the energy, the vibe, and the intention behind the service.
That emotional connection is what people carry with them and it’s what keeps the referrals coming. You can’t buy that kind of marketing. You earn it, one genuine moment at a time
