We recently connected with Garden Child and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Garden Child thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Launching our debut single, “Sky Daddy” (releasing June 20), is a huge milestone for us and something we’re incredibly proud of. The song is a bold, soulful worship track that blends reverence with raw honesty. Inspired by the Bible’s consistent reminder to “fear not,” it’s a surrender anthem—a call to trust YAH fully and live worry-free in His love and leadership.
What’s Been the Most Meaningful Project We’ve Worked On
“Sky Daddy” is more than just a debut single—it’s the heart of what Garden Child is about. It’s been the most meaningful project we’ve worked on so far because it came out of a deep personal place of learning to let go and let God lead.
The song reflects a moment of clarity: realizing that true freedom—emotional, spiritual, even creative—only comes when we stop striving and start surrendering. It’s about waking up to the reality that walking in The Way means living carefree, not careless; grounded, but not weighed down.
We wrote it not just as a personal confession, but as a wake-up call to the world: there’s freedom in following YAH, and it’s not something we have to earn—it’s something we get to walk in. That message, wrapped in sound that’s joyful, funky, and heartfelt, is what makes this song so meaningful to us. It’s a declaration of trust, joy, and movement.

Garden Child, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Who We Are
Garden Child is a genre-blending music collective on a mission to create fresh Kingdom music that speaks to the heart, stirs the spirit, and reflects the joy of walking with YAH.
Our sound is positive, refreshing, and uplifting—a mix of modern worship, soul, funk, and faith-fueled storytelling. Whether we’re crafting an upbeat anthem or a reflective ballad, the goal is always the same: to shine light, offer hope, and remind people that peace, joy, and love through The Messiah are not only real—they’re worth celebrating.
How It Started
Garden Child was born out of a desire to offer something different in the world of faith-based music. We felt there was space—and a deep need—for music that’s authentic, fun, and free.
What began as a small creative experiment quickly turned into something bigger—a movement of sound and spirit that resonates with audiences who are hungry for Kingdom music that feels fresh, relevant, and alive.
What We Offer
We write and perform original music that centers around joy, spiritual encouragement, and freedom in Christ. About 80% of our shows focus on upbeat, celebratory tracks—songs that help people reconnect with the joy of their faith in a real and personal way.
Problems We Solve
In a world that often equates worship with somberness or rigidity, Garden Child offers a counter-cultural alternative—music that lifts, liberates, and energizes. We’re here for the believers who want to dance while they worship, the seekers who need space to process, and the communities that are ready for something new.
What Sets Us Apart
We’re not afraid to be bold. We don’t shy away from hard questions or deep truths, but we always approach them with a hopeful heart and a sound that inspires movement—both physically and spiritually.
Our values—peace, worship, and authenticity—guide everything we do, from lyrics to live sets. We want our listeners to feel like they’re exhaling when they hear us. Like they’ve found a breath of fresh air in a noisy world.
What We’re Most Proud Of
Launching our debut single, “Sky Daddy” (releasing June 20), marks a huge milestone for us. The song is a bold, soulful worship track that combines reverence with raw honesty. It’s inspired by the Bible’s frequent command to “fear not”, and serves as a surrender anthem—a reminder to trust God fully and live worry-free in His love.
What We Want You to Know
We’re here to make music that moves you—not just emotionally, but spiritually. Whether you’re a believer, a questioner, or somewhere in between, our music is an invitation to breathe, dance, and connect with Yah in a fresh way.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes—for us, the mission is simple: obedience to YAH. That’s what drives everything we do.
From Adrianna (our founder):
“For a long time, I was sitting on the gift I was given. I was writing, but I wasn’t releasing anything. I wasn’t even performing locally. I was paralyzed by fear—of failing, of not being received, of not being “ready.”
Then the pandemic hit, and everything changed. We all know life isn’t promised, but for the first time, it really hit me. In the face of so much uncertainty, I felt deeply disappointed—not just by what was happening in the world, but by what I hadn’t done. I knew I hadn’t been obedient. I had buried what YAH gave me.
That season brought to mind the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14–30). In the story, a master gives his servants “talents”—a form of money, but also symbolic of the gifts and responsibilities we’re entrusted with. Two of the servants invest what they’re given and multiply it. But one is afraid, so he buries his in the ground. When the master returns, he praises the ones who used their talents—but the one who buried his? He’s rebuked. Not because he lost it, but because he never even tried.
That was me. And I knew I couldn’t live like that anymore.
So now, my mission is simple: run my race and complete every assignment He gives me. I don’t need to be seen or celebrated—I just want to be faithful. Every song we write, every show we play, every moment we share through Garden Child—it all flows from that heart. We’re here to use what we’ve been given, and be the salt of the earth.”
We’re not chasing fame or numbers. We just want to finish every assignment YAH gives us—and do it with joy, honesty, and obedience. That’s the mission.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Live shows—100%. There’s nothing like it. We absolutely love the energy that comes from the crowd—seeing people on their feet, smiling, dancing, and just fully in the moment. It’s such a beautiful reminder of the life and freedom YAH has given us.
To watch people experience joy, peace, and connection through music in real time… it’s incredible. It’s not just about performing—it’s about creating a space where people can feel alive and present. That exchange of energy, that shared joy—that’s what fuels us. Every time we step on stage, it reminds us why we do this.
