Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Keya Trivedi. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Keya, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
Growing up, I watched my dad build a career in the pharmaceutical industry with a mix of passion, discipline, and heart. He never pushed me toward his path, but he lived it so fully that I couldn’t help but be drawn to it. I remember sitting with him at a dinner table as a kid, and him reading newspaper, listening to him talk about how medicine could change lives. That sense of purpose stayed with me.
Eventually, I chose to follow in his footsteps, not out of obligation, but because I saw how meaningful the work was through his eyes. Now, working in the same field, I understand what drove him: the chance to make a real impact. His example shaped not only my career, but how I approach it with integrity, curiosity, and a deep respect for the science and the people it serves.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi! I’m Keya Trivedi and I work in the pharmaceutical industry, a space where science meets purpose, and where every step we take has the power to improve lives.
My journey into this field wasn’t just about building a career; it was about following a deeper passion to be part of something meaningful. From the start, I was fascinated by how medicines are developed and how they can bring real change to people’s lives. That curiosity turned into a calling and today, I’m proud to be part of an industry that plays such a vital role in global health and well-being.
What I do goes beyond the day-to-day. It’s about contributing to something bigger: helping to make healthcare more accessible, more effective, and more human. I believe in simplifying complex ideas, connecting people to powerful stories, and being a part of the movement that drives innovation in this space.
I’ve been honored to be featured in Brown Girl Magazine and invited as a guest on podcasts where I’ve shared my story not just as someone working in pharma, but as a woman of color breaking barriers and bringing a fresh perspective to the table.
What sets me apart? I lead with passion, I stay curious, and I believe in the power of authenticity.
If you’re reading this as a potential follower, or fellow dreamer, here’s what I want you to know: I’m here to make a difference not just in science, but in stories, in community, and in how we uplift each other.
Let’s create something impactful together.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Throughout my journey, what has always defined me is my resilience. I’ve faced challenges that could have easily broken my spirit, but I chose to stand tall. As a strong, independent woman, I’ve learned to trust my own strength, make my own decisions, and rise above doubt, whether it came from others or from within. And while I’ve walked my path with determination, I’ve never walked it alone. The unwavering support of my parents has been my foundation. Their belief in me has been my greatest source of strength. In the end, that’s what truly matters knowing who you are, staying true to that, and having the kind of love that never lets you forget it.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
Yes, I would choose the same profession again.
The pharma industry has given me the chance to help people, grow constantly, and stay connected to science and healthcare. It’s a field with purpose, innovation, and opportunities to make a real difference in patients’ lives. That’s why I will continue to choose the pharma industry.
