We recently connected with Lindsey Head and have shared our conversation below.
Lindsey, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start on the operational side – do you spend more of your time/focus/energy on growing revenue or cutting costs?
I focus more on growing revenue—but with a sharp eye on operational efficiency. I believe long-term success comes from building scalable, repeatable revenue streams. You can only cut so much before you hit bone, but the upside to revenue growth is unlimited if you have the right systems and structure in place.
That said, I don’t ignore cost management—it’s just not the hero of the story. I look at costs through a strategic lens: Is this expense fueling growth, improving customer experience, or freeing up time for the team to focus on higher-value activities? If not, it’s on the chopping block.
One story that comes to mind is when I helped a founder-led company transition from plateaued growth to an 8-figure runway. They were obsessed with cost-cutting, but it was stalling their momentum. We shifted the focus to high-margin revenue opportunities, tightened up their offer, and automated key financial workflows. Not only did revenue jump, but profitability improved because we aligned the cost structure to support scale—not just survival.
At the end of the day, the real magic happens when your cost structure enables growth rather than limits it.
Lindsey, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Building my reputation in the market has been deeply rooted in my commitment to helping others and making authentic connections. I’ve always believed that the foundation of long-term success lies in building rapport and fostering genuine relationships. Whether working with clients, peers, or partners, I focus on understanding people’s goals and providing the support they need to succeed, rather than just focusing on transactions.
In my local market, I prioritize meaningful connections, participating in community events and collaborating on projects that allow me to truly engage with other business leaders. This hands-on approach has helped me build trust and credibility, as people see my genuine investment in their success. These in-person relationships often lead to referrals and continued partnerships, which have been key to my growth.
Online, particularly on LinkedIn, I’ve been able to expand my network and connect with peers, sharing insights and offering support to help others in their journeys. The value I place on making connections and offering help to others, even through small acts of sharing knowledge or resources, has positioned me as a trusted advisor both locally and globally.
By focusing on meaningful connections and a genuine desire to help, I’ve built a reputation that goes beyond just expertise—it’s about making a positive impact on others and creating a network of trust.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients for me has undoubtedly been word of mouth and referrals. I don’t rely on traditional marketing, paid ads, or sales campaigns. Instead, I’ve focused on building strong, trusting relationships and delivering consistent value to my existing clients. Over time, this has naturally led to referrals, as my clients feel confident in recommending my services to others.
I truly believe in the power of connections and have always made it a priority to build rapport with the people I work with. When clients feel supported, heard, and understood, they are not only more likely to return for future needs but also eager to share their positive experiences with others. The organic nature of these referrals has been a huge driver of new business for me, and it’s something I’m incredibly grateful for.
At the end of the day, my focus has always been on creating long-lasting relationships rather than quick wins, and this approach has consistently brought new clients to my door.
