Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christina Havis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Christina, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Story behind the mission.
The story behind our mission statement, “Empower talent. Build careers. Make the plan work,” is rooted in my personal journey and the values I bring to this industry. Before starting This Plan Entertainment, I worked in law enforcement. That experience taught me the importance of structure, commitment, and following through with a goal from start to finish.
When I transitioned into entertainment, I quickly realized that talent alone isn’t enough. Success in this industry requires more than just being gifted. It takes strategy, discipline, and a team that truly believes in your potential. That’s what inspired me to create a company that offers more than just representation. I wanted to offer direction, accountability, and a real sense of partnership.
“Make the plan work” is more than just a slogan. It is a mindset. Every artist we work with comes in at a different stage in their journey. Our job is to meet them where they are, help them gain clarity on where they want to go, and then create a plan to get there. Through collaboration, hard work, and honest communication, we empower our clients to build sustainable careers and take control of their narrative.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Christina Havis, and I’m the Founder and CEO of This Plan Entertainment. Before I entered the entertainment industry, I spent seven years working in law enforcement in Las Vegas. That experience taught me structure, leadership, and the importance of having a solid plan. In 2016, I made the move to Los Angeles to pursue a new path, and I’ve been building This Plan Entertainment ever since.
This Plan Entertainment is a full-service talent management and production company that supports actors in developing lasting, meaningful careers. We focus on strategic, personalized representation that goes beyond just submitting clients for roles. From branding and marketing to self-tape coaching and contract guidance, we help talent grow from where they are to where they want to be.
What makes us different is the way we lead with heart, integrity, and a strong work ethic. I take time to really understand each client as a person, not just a performer. That personal investment allows us to create a game plan that fits their unique strengths and goals. I don’t just want clients to book jobs, I want them to build a career they’re proud of.
I’m most proud of the community we’ve built. My clients are talented, hard-working, and supportive of one another. We celebrate each other’s wins, push through the setbacks, and keep our eyes on the bigger picture.
At This Plan Entertainment, we believe that talent matters, but having the right strategy and support makes all the difference. We show up, we collaborate, and we execute. We don’t just dream about success. We make the plan and make it work.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Being present and intentional in every moment has been the most effective strategy for growing our roster. While we use traditional methods like attending showcases, submitting through casting platforms such as Talent Link, and connecting in social media groups, the best opportunities often come from simply being aware and engaged in the world around us.
Los Angeles is full of talented individuals who may just need the right guidance or someone to believe in them. Some of the strongest connections I have made have come from everyday interactions. Whether I am at a live show, standing in line at an event, or striking up conversation at a mixer, I keep my eyes open. If I feel a spark or see potential, I follow it. I have no hesitation in asking my favorite question: “Do you have representation?”
I am very upfront and bold in my approach because I truly believe in the power of connection. That directness often leads to genuine conversations and opens doors for emerging talent who may not know where to begin.
What sets us apart is our commitment to building real relationships, not just a client list. We lead with kindness, honesty, and an eye for potential. Our clients know we are here to support their journey, not just submit them for roles. Because of that, most of our growth comes from referrals. People talk, and in this business, reputation travels fast. When you treat people well and back it up with results, your roster grows naturally and with the right people.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Absolutely. Since moving to Hollywood to pursue my dream of being a talent manager, I’ve had to make two major pivots to get where I am today. Each company I worked with along the way provided valuable lessons and helped shape the professional I am now. But one of the hardest realizations I had to face was this: no matter how hard I worked, the accolades and accomplishments I achieved stayed with the companies, not with me.
It was incredibly difficult to go from managing a successful roster of working clients to starting over with none at all, simply because those clients were signed to the company and not to me personally. Building rapport and strong relationships with talent, only to not be able to take those relationships with me, was an emotional and professional challenge I wasn’t willing to repeat.
Those experiences forced me to make a firm decision. I had to pivot away from being a contributor at someone else’s company and take the leap to build my own. That shift was not easy, but it was necessary. Creating This Plan Entertainment was my way of securing a legacy that no one else could take from me. It was about putting a foundation under my passion and building something sustainable, rooted in my own values and vision.
That pivot didn’t just change my career, it changed my life. It taught me the value of ownership, boundaries, and betting on myself. And I wouldn’t trade that journey for anything.
