We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sophia McCormick. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sophia below.
Alright, Sophia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
I think the biggest thing my parents did right for me is teach me how to be independent and do things for myself. I have three siblings and from a young age, my parents made sure we worked for anything we wanted.

Sophia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a full-time Maryland realtor, title rep, and local lifestyle enthusiast who’s passionate about helping people buy, sell, and invest in real estate—all while showcasing the vibrant culture of Baltimore and beyond. I’ve been in the real estate industry for over 20 years, with a background that includes property management, new home construction, and title insurance. I now work with one of the top brokerages in Maryland, and I’m proud to be a top-producing agent helping clients across the state.
My journey into real estate was driven by a desire to empower people through education and homeownership. I initially started on the property management and construction side, which gave me a strong foundation in the nuts and bolts of real estate. From there, my passion grew into helping clients navigate every step of the buying and selling process, and eventually into the title side of the business as well. My love for helping people helps me break down complex concepts—like ground rent or title work—into clear, actionable steps that make my clients feel informed and confident.
Whether someone is a first-time homebuyer, a seasoned investor, or selling a long-time family home, I focus on creating a seamless and stress-free experience.
As a title representative, I partner with agents to ensure smooth closings.
What sets me apart is my deep-rooted connection to Baltimore, my love of community, and my commitment to staying informed, approachable, and proactive. I also use social media to highlight not just homes, but the lifestyle they offer—featuring local restaurants, events, coffee shops, and hidden gems throughout Maryland. My goal is to be a trusted resource, whether someone is looking for their next home or their next favorite brunch spot.
I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built over the years—clients who become friends, agents I support, and partners I collaborate with to make big dreams happen. I love connecting people, solving problems, and helping others see the bigger picture in real estate and in life.
If you’re looking for someone who knows the market, truly cares about your goals, and can make the process both effective and enjoyable, I’d love to connect. My brand is about trust, results, and making every step of the journey count.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
In 2023, I felt like I plateaued a little in my real estate career. While I love helping buyers and sellers navigate the home sale process, as a life-long learner, I knew it was time for me to pivot from only being a Realtor to adding another skill to my toolbox. I had always wanted go to law school but decided that taking on that level of debt at this time in my life was not ideal. I decided instead to get my title insurance license.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele is treating my clients like family. I truly care and want the best for each of my clients and I think they know/can feel that. In return, they want their friends and family to have the same experience so often they refer them to me which is my favorite “source of business”.
