We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Paris Maese a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Paris, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
When I was sixteen, I had the realization that I wanted to be an actress for the first time. It really started because of my love for the Hunger Games franchise. When I saw the first movie in 2012, I was hooked, but when I entered my sophomore year of high school, I wanted to take a deeper dive into how the magic was made. That spark of desire for knowledge of what it takes to make a movie developed into a flame of passion for acting.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I actually got into acting through modeling. Back when I was in high school, I was asked to do a test shoot with a local photographer. It went well, so it lead to more shoots, more connections. When those connections really started to take a turn and upgrade my career, was when I was introduced and recommended to my agent by the photographers I was working with. Then, eventually, through my agent, as well as all my creative friends. I was offered a small part in a short film. The whole thing kind of snowballed from there.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
There are moments where it can be scary, but I think a super big part of what makes my field so rewarding is being able to overcome those fears and walk away with something to be truly proud of.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I believe there is no better way to build your social media than by putting your best foot forward and always showing all the cool projects and shoots I work on.
