We recently connected with Neda Hovaizi and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Neda, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
A year after finishing dental school, while most of my peers were still working under other doctors, gaining experience and “waiting for the right time,” I took what many around me considered a reckless risk: I opened my own dental practice.
I didn’t come from a long line of dentists, and I wasn’t handed a roadmap or a trust fund. What I did have was a deep, almost stubborn belief that I was meant to create something different. I had seen firsthand how cold, clinical, and anxiety-inducing healthcare environments could feel, especially in dentistry. And I thought, what if we could do it better? What if people actually looked forward to going to the dentist?
That question became my mission. I poured my heart, time, and every dollar I had into building a space that felt luxurious, nurturing, and rooted in trust. A place where both patients and team members felt seen, valued, and truly cared for. I was 26. I didn’t know what I didn’t know. But I knew I had to try.
It wasn’t easy. I faced resistance from all angles, mentors and peers told me I was too young, too inexperienced, and destined to fail. I made mistakes. I learned fast. And in the process, I discovered that sometimes the boldest risks aren’t about chasing success, they’re about honoring your truth.
That one leap laid the foundation for everything that followed: a thriving dental practice, a medspa, multiple soul-led businesses, and now, a movement to empower other women to stop waiting for permission and start building the lives they know in their bones they’re meant for.
Looking back, that risk was never really about dentistry. It was about choosing purpose over fear, and that choice has never led me wrong. Sometimes, the most radiant gems are the ones hidden inside us, waiting for the moment we dare to dig deep and bring them into the light.

Neda, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Absolutely! My name is Dr. Neda Hovaizi. I’m a cosmetic dentist, aesthetic medicine expert, and founder of multiple soul-aligned businesses including Lumiere Dental Spa, Lumi Aesthetics, and Fab Fierce Females. But titles aside, I’m a woman on a mission: to help people feel more at home in themselves physically, emotionally, and energetically.
My journey began with a childhood dream of becoming a dentist and a deep fascination with beauty and transformation. After graduating dental school, I quickly realized I didn’t fit into the traditional mold of fast-paced, numbers-driven dental practices. I wanted to create something more intentional – an environment rooted in trust, warmth, and excellence. So, at 26, I opened my first business, Lumiere Dental Spa: a space where both patients and staff feel cared for like family, and where clinical precision meets heart-centered care.
Over time, my lifelong love for aesthetics found its natural home alongside dentistry. In 2014, my husband and I launched Lumi Aesthetics, one of the first medical spas in Quincy, MA. At the time, cosmetic injectables were still taboo in our area, but I knew there was a way to do things differently. Our mission has always been to lead with integrity, elevate confidence, and redefine beauty as an act of self-love and not self-sabotage. Today, Lumi is a trusted destination for cutting-edge treatments and soulful transformation. Our mantra is: Embrace the fountain of YOU, because when you feed your soul, you tap into unlimited potential.
I’m grateful that my growth has allowed my work to extend beyond the treatment room.
Through Fab Fierce Females, my team and I have built a movement to help women reclaim their power, rewrite their definitions of success, and surround themselves with a sisterhood of extraordinary women. From our exclusive monthly Society dinners to our annual FFFCon convention, we’re proud to create spaces where ambitious, purpose-driven women can step fully into their light and take flight.
What sets me apart is the fusion of disciplines and the intention behind everything I do. Whether I’m designing a smile, providing an aesthetic treatment, or curating transformational spaces for women to grow, I operate at the intersection of science, intuition, and elevation. My goal is to inspire my communities to elevate how they feel, how they see themselves, and how they fulfill their potential.
I’m most proud of the culture we’ve built across my businesses, spaces where both my teams and clients feel safe to speak up, be celebrated, evolve, and lead with purpose. I’ve always believed that beauty, leadership, and entrepreneurship are simply different expressions of the same truth: when you’re aligned with your essence, conscious of your capabilities, and committed to fulfillment, your limitless potential takes flight.
Whether someone discovers me through my clinical work or community spaces, I hope they leave with this knowing: you don’t need to change who you are to soar, you simply need to become more of who you truly are to become infinite. And I’m honored to hold space for that journey.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
Yes! Fab Fierce Females absolutely started as a side-hustle. But more accurately, it started as a soul whisper.
In a season of my life where I had built successful businesses, was raising a beautiful family, and had checked all the traditional boxes, I still felt a deep craving for something more… something I couldn’t quite name at the time. I wanted to sit at tables with other powerful, visionary women. Women who inspired me. Who were building boldly, dreaming differently, and doing life with depth, purpose and love.
But I wasn’t getting those invitations! And one day, it hit me: Why wait for a seat at someone else’s table when I could build my own?
So I did. What began as a simple, heartfelt gathering, a beautiful brunch filled with women I admired became a ripple. And that ripple became a movement. Today, Fab Fierce Females is a full-fledged ecosystem: from our exclusive monthly Society dinners to our annual FFFCon convention, we bring together extraordinary women to reconnect with their brilliance, build meaningful relationships, and redefine success on their own terms.
Starting FFF was never about building a business. It was about building belonging, and that’s what continues to drive it. It’s a reminder that sometimes the most impactful movements begin when we stop waiting to be seen and start inviting others to rise with us.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
The best advice I can offer for managing a team and maintaining high morale is this: lead with humanity, not hierarchy.
I believe that when people feel seen, safe, and significant, they don’t just work, they shine. I’ve learned over the years that managing a team isn’t about control, it’s about cultivating culture. And culture is built through clarity, consistency, and care.
At the core, I treat my team like co-creators, not just employees. I make it a priority to share the “why” behind what we do, invite their ideas, and give them ownership over their roles. When people feel that their voice matters, they show up with purpose, inspiration and initiative.
Maintaining high morale isn’t just about throwing pizza parties or adding perks, although those don’t hurt! It’s more about modeling the energy you want to see, setting clear expectations, showing up with integrity and providing support for their dreams too. Celebrate your team often. Give feedback with compassion and precision. Handle conflict early and honestly. And most importantly, take care of yourself, because leadership is energetic and your team will mirror your alignment or your burnout.
One more thing that has really changed my personal and career life is to invest in personal development, both for yourself and your team. Business will always have challenges, but if you’re growing together, those challenges become opportunities to rise stronger.
High morale isn’t a one-time win. It’s a daily commitment to showing up with heart, humility, and high standards. And when you do, your team doesn’t just follow you, but they believe in what they’re building with you.
