We recently connected with Miles Schneider and have shared our conversation below.

Miles, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

I have always known that my path in life was to pursue the arts professionally. Since the age of 6 yrs old, I have been creating and selling artwork. I had the entrepreneur mindset from the beginning. Walking door to door selling drawings on standard sheets of paper. Being dismissed to the principles office for selling replica Pokémon cards, drawn by hand. Even charging to draw fake tattoos with washable markers. I never stopped.

Years later, while serving in the US Army. I opened and operated my own tattoo studio. Creating permanent and meaningful works of art on the human canvas. This journey inspired my style and techniques that I continue to use to this day.

Most recently, I have focused on my abilities to create artwork with acrylics on canvas as well as other forms of mixed media. Taking my profession to the next level, selling nationwide, across all platforms. While simultaneously displaying my art in local businesses, galleries and other public spaces.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am a professional visual artist, specializing in acrylics on canvas. I offer an array of unique and captivating pieces. These paintings can range in styles and subjects from abstract, to nature, and so much more. Some pieces may be bright and colorful, while others are completely in grayscale with bold contrasts.

In addition to my online presence, my artwork can be seen at many establishments throughout Ohio. These include restaurants, cafes, wineries, and art gallery exhibitions.

Everything I do is for my family. I am a father and providing for my children has always been my priority. I see the joy in their eyes everytime I bring out a newly finished painting. They become inspired to create and seeing their imaginations come to life makes it all worth it.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is knowing that your artwork can reach the lives of so many. Art can influence. Art can inspire. Art can change minds and can push people to see from new perspectives.

I strive to not only sell my artwork, but to have it on display for all to enjoy. I take every opportunity to maximize my audience and I hope to continue this trend.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?

I encourage society to participate. Take an art class, search on social media, go to your local gallery or attend an art exhibition. Participation is a key ingredient to a thriving ecosystem of any kind.

In order for artists to continue their craft, it is vital that they find clients who not only enjoy their work, but invest in their work. Purchase a painting, photograph, or statue. Find a form of artwork that you can connect with and invest in it.
