Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cintia Listenbee. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Cintia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
When I arrived in the U.S. to attend college, I had two suitcases and $200 in my pocket. I can say God has blessed me abundantly since that day. My goal is to spread hope online (and in person), one word at a time. This is what I am moved to do.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
From Rio to Results: Meet the Social Media Savvy Behind Listenbee Media
Born and raised in the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Cintia Listenbee brought a global perspective to the American South. After earning her Master’s in Journalism from The University of Mississippi, Cintia recognized a burgeoning need within her community. It was 2010, and for many small business owners in North Carolina, the world of social media felt like a foreign language.
Seeing this gap, Cintia, a natural connector, launched Listenbee Media. She wasn’t just offering a service; she was building bridges. Her initiative led to the creation of the Haywood County Social Media Workshops, a collaborative effort with the local community college that empowered entrepreneurs to harness the power of online platforms. Cintia took Listenbee Media to the Houston, Texas area when her family relocated in 2011.
Cintia’s journey took a new turn in September 2019 when she and her husband, Zeke, along with their three children, moved to East Texas. There, Zeke embraced the role of worship pastor. Yet, Cintia’s passion for connection and communication remained steadfast. She hosted “Friendship Culture,” an event for women in the community who wanted to learn about what friendships meant to women from across the globe. A panel of multi-national speakers delighted the participants with heartfelt stories and wisdom.
Another career move led the family to Fayette County, GA, where Cintia started to serve in County government communications.
Whether guiding businesses through the digital landscape or sharing insights through her writing and speaking engagements, Cintia’s mission is clear: to spread hope, one carefully chosen word at a time, leaving a positive impact wherever she goes.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Moving to new towns is always a challenge. I learned to feel my feelings and soon connect with the community. Growing roots promotes resilience and sensitivity to the local culture. It is through serving, walking alongside folks that I can best serve them.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
People are the best connectors out there. Any time someone shares a good word about my business, I am glad to build a reputation within my market. It seems that door is not open until someone puts on a good word for me.
I have the habit of connecting others and spreading good words about others on purpose. I don’t do it to feel good about myself but I truly find joy in helping others connect.
