We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Parris Edwards a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Parris, appreciate you joining us today. undefined
One of the most innovative things I’ve done is create Crypdawgs, a surreal streetwear brand that also helps people build credit. I merged fashion, digital art, and finance into one movement. Most people separate those worlds, but I’ve lived through what it feels like to have good ideas but no funding, no resources, no credit. So I built a system where buying a duffle bag or a trucker hat or even a glass vinyl could actually help someone establish a Net 30 tradeline and improve their business credit profile.
We took it even further — we’re designing debit cards shaped like our signature Crypdawg paw, building AI character skits, and dropping exclusive merch tied to financial literacy. It’s not just art or fashion or fintech. It’s all of it combined — made for the culture, by someone who actually lived through the struggle.
. It was about using the little I had and creating something that speaks directly to people who feel overlooked. That’s what Crypdawgs is. It’s a brand, it’s a character universe, and it’s a financial passport. And I’m just getting started.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Parris Edwards, founder of Crypdawgs a brand I built from nothing but vision, grit, and survival. I spent years bouncing between Los Angeles and Atlanta, whatever I had to do to stay focused on building something bigger than me. Crypdawgs was born from that grind. It’s not just a fashion brand or an NFT project … it’s a new category.
I combined streetwear, credit building, surreal pop-art, and collectible culture into a single experience. Every Crypdawg duffle bag, trucker hat, or digital NFT isn’t just a flex — it reports as a Net 30 tradeline. That means when someone buys into the brand, they’re not just rocking art, they’re building their credit. No one else is doing that.
I wanted to make something iconic. Something that looks like KAWS or Murakami — but with real utility. I’m most proud that Crypdawgs is opening doors for people who’ve been left out of the system. People like me. We’re building not just a brand, but a movement. Something loud, weird, colorful — but also powerful, intentional, and generational.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Crypdawgs isn’t just about art or fashion .. it’s about access. I didn’t come into this industry with money, a team, or connections. I came in with a vision to make streetwear and collectibles actually mean something. I showed up every day, even when I was broke, homeless, or moving city to city. I kept creating, kept posting, kept building my name and people noticed. I built trust because my message never changed. I’m not here to sell hype. I’m here to change the way people build wealth through design.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
There was a time when I was homeless in LA, going to work during the day, and building Crypdawgs at night off public Wi-Fi. I had no stable home, no resources — just a phone and the belief that if I kept showing up, something would crack. I kept designing NFTs in the back seat, pitching myself to press, building the Shopify store at 3AM outside of Starbucks. That experience taught me resilience isn’t about how much pressure you can take … it’s about how long you can keep your vision alive when nobody else sees it yet. Now we’ve got media reaching out, product drops coming, and a full brand with momentum. But it all started with that belief when I had nothing.
