We recently connected with Jared Lee Gosselin and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jared Lee, thanks for joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
Since I was a kid really, growing up in Detroit in the 1980’s was a really interesting time. I remember getting my first cassettes with my dad, RUN-DMC “Raising Hell” and The Fatboys “Crushin”. Hearing Jam Master Jay slay the turntables was just mind blowing to me, I use to dream of DJing and cutting up records like Jay it was an obsession, I didn’t end up getting my first DJ set till I was a little older around 15yrs old but once I did I would spend 8-10 hours a day scratching records and putting together DJ Battle Routines. A friend of mine around the same time told me something that always stuck with me, she said if you are going to do something, do it and don’t stop and thats literally been my mantra ever since.
As I was honing in my craft on the turntables I started gong to school to be a recording engineer and ended up getting an internship with 2 of the original writers from Motown, Barrett Strong and Robert Bateman. This is where I experienced ProTools, I remember them getting one of the early Pro Tools TDM rigs and this was a live changer as everything prior was recorded on 2 inch reels, ADATS and DA88 tapes. I felt like I could now accomplish anything in the music space with the ability to edit and manipulate audio.
From this point on I felt unstoppable, this was my path.

My name is Jared Lee Gosselin, Im a record producer, A&R, Brand and Marketing Consultant.
I have a deep love for the arts, when it comes to recording artists I love to establish a sound, esthetic, look and overall brand and image and to bring artistic visions to life.
My experience runs 20 plus years, from the physical distribution era to the MP3 to the now streaming world.
I have toured the world as a DJ, produced some of the biggest acts in the world and been involved in the marketing and radio side of things as well.
What sets me apart is my vast knowledge of multiple genres of music production, development, marketing and branding. I have ran several record labels and have worn many hats over the years in many different eras of the music and entertainment business.
I love to bring projects to light, develop new sounds and brands, I love seeing everybody win at the end of the day.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I have always wanted to create art that will stand the test of time and live on past my time on this earth.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Blowing peoples minds.
There is nothing like creating something fantastic and seeing the reaction of people when they hear or see it.
