Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Daniela. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Daniela , thanks for joining us today. We love asking folks what they would do differently if they were starting today – how they would speed up the process, etc. We’d love to hear how you would set everything up if you were to start from step 1 today.
If I had a magical do-over button? Oh, I’d hit that thing fast and hard.
First off, I would’ve started creating content for myself much earlier. After 15+ years in agency life—building campaigns, elevating brands, and staying behind the curtain—I finally realized I had all the tools to turn the spotlight on and be the main character. I spent so long perfecting strategy for others, I didn’t give myself permission to explore the wild, wonderful world of personal content creation. Spoiler alert: it’s not always easy to monetize, but it’s full of more possibility than a travel aisle in a Tokyo vending machine.
If I were starting fresh today, I’d create a hybrid blueprint: half agency precision, half creator experimentation. I’d build a foundation that not only serves polished brand clients but also welcomes solo creators, indie dreamers, and emerging talent who just need a GPS and a decent snack. I’d invest early in scalable systems—templates, workflows, content banks—but I’d also carve out dedicated space for play. Because when the structure is solid, the creative freedom gets to run wild.
Basically, I’d be less precious, more prolific, and far more open to just pressing “post” instead of perfecting every pixel. Sometimes, the best ideas happen when you loosen the grip. And now that I know how to balance business goals with creative joy? You better believe I’d build something that works for both—and bring others along for the ride.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi, I’m Daniela Medina—serial entrepreneur, graphic designer by trade, content creator by evolution, and a firm believer that adaptability is the ultimate flex. I’ve had the wild, wonderful privilege of building three very different but deeply interconnected businesses: The Stalker Creatives, our full-service creative agency; Travel Eat Repeat, a content-driven brand born from our love of storytelling, food, and far-flung places; and dockaboat.app, a peer-to-peer dock rental platform that’s changing the way boaters connect with underused waterfront spaces. It’s basically the Airbnb of docks—yes, it’s niche, and yes, it’s genius.
Everything I’ve done professionally—from brand campaigns to boat rentals—has been powered by one thing: creativity with purpose. I started as a graphic designer when MySpace layouts were considered top-tier digital design (yikes), and watched the entire industry morph into something faster, louder, and content-obsessed. So I adapted. When design became more about social media, I leaned in—teaching myself how to edit videos, build digital content strategies, and most importantly, stay ahead of the curve.
At The Stalker Creatives, we built our name on powerful visuals and bold creative thinking. Yes, we still offer tried-and-true services like branding, packaging design, pitch decks, brand strategy, and visual identity, but we also bring the noise with content creation, social campaigns, and creator consulting. Our clients used to come to us for logos—they now come for movement, traction, and digital disruption. So that’s what we give them.
But here’s where it gets fun. After years of helping brands shine, my wife and I decided to use our own toolkit and create for ourselves. We started Travel Eat Repeat as a way to tell our story—traveling, working, eating, and yes, monetizing all the parts of our life that make people ask, “How do you two do all that?” The secret? A well-organized camera roll, a slightly chaotic calendar, and a lot of humor. That’s kind of my signature—I love to make people laugh and think. It’s how we connect with our audience, and it’s why our content cuts through the noise.
What makes me different? I’ve sat at the boardroom table with big brands and brainstormed content strategy with solo creators over coffee. I know how to scale, systematize, and storytell. I don’t gatekeep—whether you’re a legacy brand or an up-and-coming creator, you get my full brain and full support. And the real secret? Collaboration. Whether it’s working with brands or fellow creatives, it’s about trading content for exposure, audience growth, and mutual wins. When done right, everyone gains—your platform grows organically, and your work travels further than any algorithm can promise.
That collaborative, content-driven model has also expanded our client base in a big way. Hotels, restaurants, and destination-based businesses now come to us—not just to exchange services for content, but because they see Travel Eat Repeat as a real-time portfolio. They want photo and video production, digital strategy, and content that actually inspires people to show up, stay longer, and share their experience. We’re not just traveling and posting—we’re creating convertible content, with real value behind the scenes.
I’m proudest of the range I’ve built—agencies, platforms, and content that move people—and the freedom that comes from doing it my own way. If you’re reading this, I hope you walk away knowing that there’s room for all of us in the digital space—and with the right tools, guidance, and maybe a well-timed joke, your story can be the next one worth watching.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
Everyone loves a good love story—and honestly, our professional story is a love story. It all started in Miami, at El Patio, to be exact. A mutual friend introduced us, and something clicked when Jo and I met; we became instant best friends.
One year later..
Jo is a dreamer. A full-on visionary. She sees possibility in everything—and somehow convinces you to see it too. Eventually, her big, brilliant ideas were the perfect recipe for something else: our first kiss. That moment was the start of everything.
Not long after, Jo did what she does best—dreamed up something wild. She convinced me to quit my corporate job (gulp), start a clothing brand with her (sure, why not?), and eventually launch our first creative agency. I always say Jo has the ideas, and I’m the one who hits the “start” button. That dynamic? It’s magic. We’re 8 years in, and it’s still our motto: She dreams it, I greenlight it.
What began as friendship turned into love, and then into a life and career that neither of us could’ve mapped out solo. Our partnership isn’t just about business—it’s about trust, adventure, and constantly creating something new together. That’s the heartbeat of everything we do.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients? Hands down—referrals.
Friends, family, past clients, current clients… our work and our inner circle have truly become our loudest cheerleaders. We’re lucky that because we offer such a wide range of creative services, we tend to stay top of mind (thankfully and gratefully) whenever someone says, “I need help with branding/content/design/strategy/all of the above.”
We also stay pretty active on social media, which definitely plays a role. I’m mostly on Instagram and TikTok doing the content creator thing, while Jo holds it down on LinkedIn and X—serving insights, strategy, and the occasional hot take. That presence helps us stay visible and relevant, which always pays off in unexpected ways.
Recently, our Travel Eat Repeat content has become a great conversation starter. What began as a creative outlet has turned into a lead generation machine—people see the travel content, love the storytelling, and then want that energy applied to their brand. Even dockaboat has become a surprising gateway. Its clean aesthetic and thoughtful user experience make other brands go, “Okay wait, who made this? Can they do that for us?” The answer is yes. Yes, we can.
Truthfully, it all loops back to this: when you lead with strong visuals, clear strategy, and genuine connections, people remember you—and then they send more people your way.
