We were lucky to catch up with Betsy Finkelhoo recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Betsy, thanks for joining us today. We love heartwarming stories – do you have a heartwarming story from your career to share?
In my work, I’ve witnessed incredible transformations — but one story that stays closest to my heart is about a woman who came to me during one of the most tender times of her life.
She had been trying to get pregnant for several years. After countless tests, appointments, and emotional ups and downs, she was physically exhausted and emotionally drained. She told me she felt like her body had betrayed her, and her hope was slipping away.
When we began working together, we didn’t just focus on her body — we focused on her mindset, her heart, and her energy. Through a blend of gentle bodywork, healing sessions, and mindset empowerment coaching, we created space for her to reconnect with herself in a new way.
Together, we worked on affirmations to rebuild trust in her body. We used visualization to help her feel herself already holding her child. We cleared old emotional blocks around worthiness and surrender. And week by week, she softened — from self-blame into self-love, from fear into trust.
A few months later, I got a message from her: “I’m pregnant.”
The joy in her voice, the tears we shared, were a reminder of why I do this work.
It wasn’t just about the pregnancy. It was about her remembering that she was whole and powerful no matter what.
It was about coming home to herself.
The pregnancy was the beautiful fruit of a much deeper healing.
This work is sacred. It’s not just massage. It’s not just mindset. It’s about helping people unlock the powerful, creative energy that’s already within them — whether they are birthing new life, new dreams, or a new chapter of themselves.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
At the core of who I am is an artist and a healer, and I weave these gifts into everything I create and offer. Transformation and service are the foundation of my work and my core values of life.
Raised in Northeast Ohio in a healthy, supportive family, I studied graphic design in college — but at 22, I was called into the world of bodywork, energy healing, and personal transformation.
While I loved art, I realized I wanted to work directly with people, helping them heal and thrive, rather than spending my life behind a computer.
I continued my education at massage therapy school, and from there, my path as a healer began to unfold.
Over the past two decades, I’ve immersed myself in transformational trainings, world travel, somatic therapies, energetic modalities, festival culture and mindset empowerment work. I’ve blended these skills with my love of creativity — designing healing spaces, leading women’s circles, curating intentional events, and creating products for empowerment; primarily focused on mindset, affirmation and meditation.
To me, healing is a living, breathing tapestry: part science, part spirit, part art.
Today, my offerings are multidimensional:
✨ Teacher of the power of Affirmations
✨ Massage therapy and somatic healing, both on the ground and in the air through aerial somatic healing sessions.
✨ Creator of The Power Affirmation Journal, a published guided journal to reshape mindset and empower new beliefs.
✨ Mindset empowerment coaching, body-centered energy work, ceremonial facilitation, and intuitive guidance.
✨ Co-host of the podcast Stay Sparked, offering inspiring conversations centered around optimism, hopefulness, and positivity.
✨ Designer and artist of intuitive experiences, sacred Earth Mandalas, transformational spaces, and guided circle experiences.
The people who find their way to me are often seeking more than just physical relief — they are ready for lasting transformation.
They come longing to feel safe in their bodies again, to clear old emotional patterns, to believe in themselves, and to birth new dreams, whether literal or metaphorical.
What sets my work apart is that it’s not one-size-fits-all.
It’s intuitive, holistic, and deeply attuned to each person’s body, energy, and story.
My approach is rooted in the truth that healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken — it’s about remembering that we were never broken at all.
I’m most proud of the way my work bridges the ancient and the modern — honoring the earth, celebrating community, activating the power of mindset, and creating sacred spaces for true healing.
My mission is simple: to help people feel whole, hopeful, empowered, connected, and free.
At the heart of everything I offer — whether a healing session, a product, a circle, a ceremony, or a conversation — is an invitation to return home to the deepest, most alive part of yourself.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What’s helped me build my reputation is a consistent commitment to integrity, presence, and depth in everything I offer—whether I’m facilitating an event, creating affirmations, or offering somatic healing. I show up with real heart. People can feel that I walk the talk.
Over time, clients and community members have come to know me as someone who holds safe, sacred space—whether it’s in a room full of people or one-on-one. My gift is helping others connect with their truth and come back to themselves, and I’ve built trust by doing that over and over again.
The blend of science and spirit, body and belief, is what sets me apart. I bring together deep somatic awareness, practical affirmation tools, and ritual-based facilitation that feels both grounded and magical. That unique mix, paired with word-of-mouth and authentic relationships, has helped my work ripple out in powerful ways.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
Without a doubt—yes. Choosing the path of healing, and starting with massage therapy at a young age, laid the most beautiful foundation for everything that’s followed. It taught me to listen with my hands, to be present with another human being in their vulnerability, and to trust the wisdom of the body.
That work opened a gateway to so many deeper layers of healing—emotional, energetic, and spiritual. It was through that path that I discovered affirmations, somatic work, and my love for holding space in ceremony and community.
I’m deeply grateful that I followed the call to be a healer, even when the road was uncertain. Every step has been a remembering of who I am, and every client, every event, every circle has been part of that unfolding.
I wouldn’t change a thing.
