Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Esteban Niño Palacio. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Esteban Niño, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?
What my parents did right?
They didn’t stop growing just because they had children. Sure, they immigrated to a foreign country from Colombia with three children, I was three years old, and they sacrificed so much–but, it’s what they didn’t sacrifice that truly helped me.
My parents never sacrificed their own desire to grow as people. They focused on their fitness & health. They read books and learned new skills. They made time for each other. They showed me that dedicating time and energy into your own growth wasn’t a luxury, it was a necessity.
I’m lucky that way.
I didn’t have to convince myself that taking care of my health was important. I didn’t have to consider whether trying to grow was a worthwhile venture. It was monkey see- monkey do. Their dedication to their own lives made it easy for me to be an individual with his own values, integrity, discipline, & self love. I owe so much to them, not only because of what they did for me, but also because of what they did for themselves.
Esteban Niño, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Esteban Niño Palacio, a transformational guide, poet, and breathwork facilitator. I’m the founder of Los Niños Services Inc., a coaching and wellness company built on the belief that returning to our wholeness means reconnecting with the parts of us we were once taught to abandon: our inner child, our truth, our wildness, our vulnerability.
My journey into this work started early. I immigrated from Medellín, Colombia to Canada when I was three, and like many children of diaspora, I carried the quiet burden of trying to fit in and be good. At 15, I became fascinated by human potential. I started meditating and taking cold showers after watching documentaries on monks and superhumans. At 18, a psychedelic experience during university cracked open my sense of self and launched a deep inner journey through consciousness, healing, and spiritual inquiry. What began as a personal path slowly became a calling.
I studied psychology and counselling, but it’s been my lived experience: through heartbreaks, spiritual awakenings, identity crises, and relentless self-inquiry have shaped my work the most. Today, I guide individuals through immersive 3-month coaching programs, lead international retreats, and facilitate breathwork and embodiment workshops. I also share poetry and philosophical reflections online, offering a mix of depth, spirituality, and real human emotion.
My coaching blends inner child work, shadow work, mindfulness, values alignment, and somatic awareness. What sets my work apart is how personal it is. I don’t claim to be a guru or offer a one-size-fits-all formula. I meet people where they are, and I lead by example. I show up as someone who is also on the path, walking with them as they come back to themselves. I create spaces where truth is safe, vulnerability is honored, and transformation happens through honesty and presence.
I work best with self-aware individuals who feel stuck in loops they can’t break, high achievers who feel emotionally disconnected, or sensitive creatives who long for authenticity but are afraid of being misunderstood. I help them get out of their heads and into their bodies. I remind them that they don’t need fixing. They need reconnection.
I’m most proud of the way my clients transform. Many say that in 12 weeks, they’ve gone deeper than years of therapy. But what matters most to me is not just the results, it’s the relationship. I’m proud that I’ve built a practice rooted in integrity, presence, and real human connection.
Whether through coaching, poetry, or retreat work, my goal is the same: to help people remember who they are beneath the roles, patterns, and stories. I want them to know that their softness is sacred. That their truth is enough. That their life can feel like theirs again.
If you’re someone who’s been doing the work but still feels disconnected, I invite you to reach out. There’s more waiting for you. not somewhere far away, but here, within.
Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Other than training and knowledge, the most essential ingredient for success in this field is integrity. In a world full of noise, performance, and curated personas, what people are really seeking is truth. They want to feel that the person guiding them is walking the path, not just talking about it. Integrity means I don’t pretend to have all the answers. It means I own my humanity, practice what I preach, and never ask a client to go somewhere I haven’t been willing to go myself. It builds trust. It creates safety. And it’s the only foundation strong enough to hold real transformation.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson I had to unlearn was that hard work always pays off.
It’s a concept that makes logical sense and carries some truth—discipline, consistency, and devotion are essential to any successful business. But I realized that working hard isn’t the same as working smart. For a long time, I wrapped myself in the narrative that I had to carry everything alone. That meant I rarely asked for help, didn’t outsource, and constantly took on more than I could sustainably hold. Eventually, that led to burnout, resentment, and a ceiling on how far I could actually grow. Unlearning that belief opened the door to more ease, collaboration, and trust, not just in others, but in life itself.
