We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Vanessa Velasquez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Vanessa below.
Vanessa, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
I would want to be remembered for providing happiness through my baked goods and the moments they helped to create. Being a part of those moments and receiving the wonderful reactions is the whole reason I do it. Most people
I come across say the same thing – “I’m not big on sweets, but yours were delicious”.
Making others fall in love with baked goods once again that also remind them of their best memories is the legacy I wish to have.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Being born in Colombia, my roots have a lot of influence on my baking. The simplicity of flavors coming together in harmony. I learned over the years that great baked goods shouldn’t require an immediate glass of water to wash down the overly sweetened treats. I strive to create every dessert you love without the need for an overabundance of sugar, and nothing but natural and organic ingredients. If the recipe calls for strawberry, we use freshly picked ones. Everything is made from scratch and always fresh.
I cater to any and all requests as one should not be excluded from indulging in a sweet treat.
I strive to be for the community, and producing affordable products that everyone can enjoy.
Cakes for any and all events, cake pops, the ever trending Dubai chocolate bars, homemade gelato and ice cream, macarons, cheesecakes and more.
The current fan favorite on our menu is our dulce de leche cheesecake. Just the right amount of sweetness in every bite. My baking will transform a non believer.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
The whisk has been in my hand since i was 10 years old, I am now on the verge of 30. Every single one of my classmates got a cookie cake on their birthday as far as I can remember. This started my love language of gifting baked goods and seeing how happy it makes everyone.
For the last 10 years, I have been working as a paralegal while running my baking business at night.
The moment I left the law firm for good, I was able to focus 100% on baking and be present for last minute orders. I love being able to have reliability and save the day if need be. as no ones event should go without sweets.
The biggest order to date has been close to 3 thousand sugar cookies for all the major cruise lines. It took the help of my wonderful mother and a whole week to perfect them. I am very proud of the opportunities Ive been given

How did you build your audience on social media?
Reels have been the most important tool in social media especially for businesses. Showcasing our work and taking the viewer step by step on how we create these masterpieces is what draws the eye. I would say keep going and remain resilient no matter what. Blessing will come your way
