Lynda, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?

In early 2020, just as the world shut down from COVID, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life: I left my steady job to pursue real estate full time. It was a bold move—especially during a global crisis—and even riskier because I’m also the full-time caregiver for my autistic son, who was suddenly home 24/7 due to school closures.

The market was uncertain, clients were nervous, and I had no safety net. But I believed in the long-term vision. I worked nights after putting my son to bed, took calls during therapy sessions, and showed homes with him. It wasn’t easy but within that chaos, I found my strength.

That risk paid off. I built a thriving business while staying fully present for my son. It taught me resilience, time management, and how powerful faith

Hi, I’m Lynda Carouthers—a licensed Realtor since 2014, team lead at Carouthers Investment Group, autism mom, and multi-passionate entrepreneur. I help individuals and families navigate buying, leasing, and owner-financed real estate across Texas with compassion, expertise, and a people-first approach.

In 2020, I took a bold step and went full-time in real estate during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic—while also caring for my autistic son full time. That experience strengthened my purpose and fueled my commitment to helping others build stability and opportunity through homeownership.

Outside of real estate, I’m the founder of Golden Hour Glow, a skincare line created for women over 40 who want simple, radiant, age-positive beauty. I also launched Noah’s Ark, a nonprofit inspired by my son, focused on supporting families raising children with special needs.

I’m currently stepping into the world of social media influence as an Amazon Influencer, with a growing presence on Instagram and TikTok. I create content around curvy fashion, working mom life, beauty, and entrepreneurship—sharing both the polished wins and the behind-the-scenes reality.

What sets me apart is my ability to balance it all with transparency and heart. Whether I’m closing a real estate deal, packaging skincare orders, mentoring new agents, or posting my latest Amazon finds, I show up authentically in every space I serve.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.

I stay in touch with clients by being myself—genuine, honest, and accessible. I check in regularly, celebrate their wins, and share value through social media, emails, and personal follow-ups. Building trust through real connection is how I foster brand loyalty.

How did you build your audience on social media?

I started building my audience on social media by simply showing up as myself—no filters, no fluff. I shared my life as a working mom, Realtor, and autism advocate. I talked about real moments—from showing homes with my son in the car to celebrating small wins in business. That honesty resonated with people.

As I grew more consistent, I leaned into what my audience wanted: relatable content, useful tips, and a reminder that you can chase goals even in chaos. TikTok and Instagram gave me space to blend my personal and professional life, and now I’m also an Amazon Influencer, sharing curvy fashion finds, mom hacks, and beauty favorites.

My advice? Start where you are. Be consistent. Be real. People connect with you, not just what you sell. And don’t wait to be perfect—post anyway.
