We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sabrina Gonzalez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sabrina below.
Sabrina , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Our business is dedicated to supporting individuals through their cosmetic surgery recovery. Our goal here at Las Vegas Cosmetic Recovery is always to facilitate our patients in their healing process because the healing journey can be a rough one . With that being said there is a lack of information in the plastic surgery world. This lead to the birth of my podcast “Talk Plastic Surgery” where we talk about the “The Good, The Bad and the Ugly” of Plastic surgery. We bring on real people who talk about their experiences with plastic surgery with the the hope their stories will help guide others on their own path with plastic surgery. As for real estate my love for the housing market was born 3 years ago when I bought my first property, then 2 years later buying my second property at 28 and turning my first into a profitable midterm rental. By the end of the year I plan on acquiring more investment properties and growing my real estate business.
Sabrina , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am Sabrina Gonzalez and I became a Licensed Massage Therapist in Las Vegas NV in 2016 by the Nevada School of Massage Therapy. Immediately following massage school I got hired at some of the most elite spas on the strip such as Efrea at Hilton Grand Vacations Club and Qua at Caesars Palace. In 2017 I started my mobile massage business working with sports mobilization and injury massage. In 2020 after the spas closed down due to covid I decided to focus on my own business full time. Towards the end of 2020 I started to see a rising demand for post cosmetic surgery massage or lymphatic drainage massage and realized I needed to find a good course to learn the proper way to work on these patients, it was then that I started my educational journey with many different specialist in the lymphatic field.
Once I started working on different patients and started noticing that when receiving improper massages you can have complications, such as fibrosis, seromas, irregular incisions and scar tissue formations. I noticed there was so much more to learn in order to help these patients with these complications. I figured out that If you wanted to help your patient’s it is imperative that you have a well rounded education in not just lymphatic drainage but scar massage, kinesio taping, facia, and structural integration. This is why in an industry that is continuously changing I am always researching new methods surgeons are performing in cosmetic surgery and growing my education to learn new ways to help my patients.
In 2021 I became a certified manual lymphatic drainage therapist by LMT success group. Wanting to learn more about cosmetic surgery, in 2022 I became a certified breast massage therapist by the Sturgeon Method. Once Norton School of Lymphatics revealed they were going to offer a cosmetic surgery therapy course I immediately signed up and in 2023 became one of the first Certified Cosmetic Surgery Therapists by Nicole Psomas. Diving deeper into learning about the body I took John F. Barnes Myofascial Release 1 course and realized this is what makes a wholesome therapist. Then realizing their was no real peoples stories about their real plastic surgery experiences leg me to give birth to my podcast which aired 2025 called ” Talk Plastic Surgery”. Now we are on all the platforms including Youtube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, IHeart Radio and Amazon Music with the hope of reaching those who need these real people’s stories to insure no other people suffer from horrible plastic surgery experiences.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
In every industry your reputation is everything. When you are on time, do good work for others and most importantly provide results for your clients your reputation will continue to grow in your industry. If you are not responsible, don’t do right by your clients and don’t provide results then your reputation will suffer. Provide a great overall experience and be easy to work with and your reputation will continue to grow. In any business that you do.
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
In 2020 after the spas closed down due to covid I decided to focus on my business full time. I began to see patients at any time of the day and work harder than anyone else in my industry. Towards the end of 2020 I started to see a rising demand for post cosmetic surgery massage and lymphatic drainage massage so I saw the opportunity and rebranded to my current business name. I focused on all clients recovering from Plastic Surgery and Las Vegas Cosmetic Recovery was born.
