We recently connected with Varsha Chawla and have shared our conversation below.
Varsha, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
Building a clean, science-backed wellness product line isn’t for the faint of heart. In a world where social media pulls us in every direction and influencer marketing often blurs the line between authenticity and sponsorship, it can be hard to know who and what to trust.
The reality is, many wellness and supplement brands settle for “good enough.” After extensively researching and comparing a wide range of products, I discovered a pattern: too many of them either lack high-quality ingredients with supply chains that promote transparency and traceability, fail to include clinically effective dosages, or are filled with sweeteners that can disrupt gut health and lead to bloating or digestive issues.
My approach is different. I believe every ingredient should be there for a reason—in the right amount, sourced responsibly, and as clean as possible. That means choosing organic or pesticide-free ingredients whenever available, trying to source from suppliers who practice regenerative farming, and insisting on ethical sourcing standards across the board. But beyond functionality, I also care deeply about the experience. A product should be just as enjoyable to consume as it is beneficial to your body.
So much of the wellness conversation still revolves around how we look—calories, macros, and aesthetics. But to me, how a product makes you feel is just as important. That’s why I’m creating functional products designed to support real energy, deep sleep, and hormonal balance through all stages of womanhood—postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause included.
Even common sweeteners like Stevia and monk fruit, which dominate the wellness industry, don’t make the cut in my formulations. This may not be the norm, but I believe it’s time to redefine what true wellness looks and feels like. I’m here to help lead that shift.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
With a background in business intelligence, product management, and systems engineering, I’ve spent over a decade helping businesses harness data to drive innovation and sustainable growth. I’ve led global teams across China and Israel—on both the hardware and software side—developing scalable solutions at the intersection of strategy and technology.
Now, as a certified holistic health coach who has worked with countless women, I’m channeling that same analytical mindset into something deeply personal: creating a clean, science-backed product line of functional sleep and energy products. These formulations are free from added sugars, artificial flavors, and unnecessary fillers—crafted instead with clean, transparent ingredients that support real wellness for real life.
Through my platform, Well & Great, I share the behind-the-scenes of building a purpose-driven wellness brand from the ground up. From simplifying complex health concepts to offering practical insights into hormonal health, I aim to empower women to feel their best through every stage of life.
I’m passionate about bridging the gap between data-driven systems thinking and holistic well-being—and I’m currently seeking industry collaborations, media opportunities, and speaking engagements to further the conversation around clean, effective wellness solutions. Let’s connect and reimagine what modern wellness can be—together.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Two of the most impactful books I’ve read—and regularly return to—are Atomic Habits by James Clear and Everything is Figureoutable by Marie Forleo. Both have deeply shaped not just how I live, but how I lead, parent, build, and grow through this entrepreneurial journey.
Right now, I’m not just carving my path in the wellness industry. I’m also raising two boys, staying on top of my own health, running marathons (literally), learning as I go, trying to support and connect with my entrepreneur husband as best as I can, and caring for aging parents—all while making time for my three sisters and the relationships that matter most. It’s a lot. And some days, it feels like too much.
That’s why Atomic Habits has been so transformative. I’ve accepted that I’ll never accomplish everything I want to in a single day—but I can build small, meaningful habits that keep me grounded in both personal and professional growth. Some days, my family needs more of me. Other days, I say no to movie night so I can work on my business. The book helped me redefine productivity and progress, and if it’s not already on your list, it should be.
Everything is Figureoutable earns its top-shelf spot for a different reason. I went through Marie Forleo’s B-School and soaked up the lessons—but it wasn’t until I started building my coaching business (and now my wellness company) that I truly understood what it means to figure it out. Every challenge, every unexpected roadblock, every “I have no idea what I’m doing” moment has become an opportunity to learn and adapt. We often quit too soon because we expect the path to be linear, easier, or faster—but it rarely is. This mindset of “figureoutability” (yes, I’m making it a word!) has kept me going, even when things got hard. Especially when things got hard.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I pivoted my career right around the time the pandemic hit. After spending over 17 years in the technology industry, my husband’s entrepreneurial path gave me the flexibility—and the push—I needed to step away from my corporate role during an uncertain moment in history. In hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise. With both of our boys learning remotely from home, I had the chance to be fully present for them during a time when they needed extra support, structure, and reassurance.
That unexpected pause also opened the door for me to finally pursue something I’d been quietly passionate about for years: wellness. I became a certified holistic health coach, started working with clients, and launched my blog, Well & Great, as a space to share my learnings and experiences.
Transitioning from tech to wellness hasn’t been easy. In a space where doctors are (rightfully) seen as the go-to experts, earning trust as a non-clinician requires not only education, but lived experience. I had to become my own first client—figuring out how to manage my own brain fog, stubborn weight, hormonal acne, joint pain, PMS, mood swings, and fatigue. I’m not a doctor, but by deeply investing in my education around nutrition, movement, and hormone health, I was able to reclaim my own well-being. That transformation now fuels my ability to help others do the same.
Looking back, it was a leap into the unknown—but one I’ll never regret. Trading tech for wellness changed the trajectory of my life, and I’m just getting started.
