Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tay YuccA. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tay , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Earning a full time living from one’s creative career can be incredibly difficult. Have you been able to do so and if so, can you share some of the key parts of your journey and any important advice or lessons that might help creatives who haven’t been able to yet?
It is my dream goal to be able to earn a full time living from my creative work. Everyday I become a step closer. Major steps and milestones I’ve made have been traveling to perform in multiple cities and meeting radio personalities.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I was born and a raised in Detroit, Michigan. At 12 years old my parents divorced, and ever since, I’ve learned to strive on my own. I started working with music digitally my senior year of high school which now is 13 years. Business wise, I’ve created my own company called TayYuccA which is also my artist name. I produce, record and perform music. As well as I film my own music videos and films. And I’m an actor. Creative works I provide is apparel for clients to wear, to music they can listen to, and films they can watch. All created by me. What sets me apart from others is my remarkable ambition and dedication towards my work. What I am most proud of is that with everyday, god gives me another opportunity to inspire others to never give up. What I want my potential followers to know about me is that I will always love and cherish every single one of them!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist and being creative is when I hear feedback from potential fans. Good or bad feedback empowers me to push harder every-time.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
What non creatives will struggle to understand about my journey is that you never stop thinking. You’re always overthinking as a creative. And if your not careful you can turn thoughts into stress. You have to learn to take breaks and walk away sometimes. Then come back with a fresh mind.
