One of the biggest risks I ever took was leaving the comfort and security of my established job to open Kissy Face Med Spa. It wasn’t just a career shift — it was a leap of faith into the unknown, armed with nothing but passion, grit, and a dream (and maybe a dash of caffeine-fueled insanity).
Before Kissy Face was born, I was working long hours for someone else, pouring my heart into a job that never fully allowed me to express my creativity or connect with patients the way I wanted to. I knew I had the skill and the vision to create something more — a space where people could feel empowered, beautiful, and cared for in a real, personalized way. But let me tell you, it’s one thing to dream it up… it’s another thing entirely to leave a steady paycheck, sign a lease, max out credit cards, and pray you can pay the light bill.
I remember sitting on the floor of my tiny first space (I called it the “shoebox spa”), surrounded by boxes of products, furniture that I’d dragged in myself, and a whole lot of fear. I had no fancy investors, no backup plan — just belief. I was scrubbing toilets, doing the treatments, booking the appointments, and building a brand one conversation, one patient, and one result at a time.
And it wasn’t all smooth sailing. There were slow months, copycat competitors, even moments where I thought I’d made a huge mistake. But I kept showing up. I kept growing. And eventually, Kissy Face Med Spa outgrew that little shoebox. Then outgrew the next space. And now we’re in a beautiful building, with an amazing team, a loyal community of patients, and a brand I built from scratch — lipstick smudges, growing pains, and all.
Taking that risk taught me that sometimes the scariest decisions turn into the most beautiful chapters of your life. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. And I wouldn’t change a single thing.

Hi, I’m Kissy — founder of Kissy Face Med Spa, aesthetic provider, laser technician, skincare formulator, and full-time dream chaser. My journey into aesthetics began years ago when I started working at a dermatology office that also offered cosmetic treatments. I instantly fell in love with the blend of science, beauty, and connection that came with helping people feel confident in their skin. It didn’t take long to realize this wasn’t just a job — it was my passion.
Later, I joined a local med spa — and then, like so many others, everything changed when COVID hit. The state shut everything down, and in the middle of the chaos, I was let go along with the entire team. It was devastating… but it also lit a fire under me. I realized that instead of waiting for someone to give me a job, I could create my own. And that’s how Kissy Face Med Spa was born.
I took a massive leap — no investors, no safety net, just a fierce belief in myself and a vision for something different. I wanted to build a med spa that felt real, welcoming, and rooted in care. I scrubbed floors, booked appointments, performed every treatment, and slowly built a loyal community of patients who believed in me as much as I believed in them.
Today, Kissy Face offers a full menu of aesthetic services — custom facials, laser treatments, anti-aging injectables, and medical-grade skincare. We’re also home to the Kissy Face Skincare line — a clean, effective, and affordable collection I created myself because I wanted products I could truly stand behind. I’m so proud of it — and even more proud that it’s helping people feel good in their skin.
What sets us apart isn’t just what we do — it’s how we do it. We care. Deeply. We take time to educate our patients, tailor every treatment, and walk the journey with them. Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Every business has its challenges, but some tests feel deeply personal — the kind that shake your spirit and force you to dig deep to keep going. One of the hardest parts of my journey wasn’t learning lasers or launching my skincare line — it was enduring the actions of another local, like-minded business that, instead of cheering for me, chose to try to tear me down.
For a long stretch, I was the target of relentless attacks: false rumors, hurtful lies, and anonymous reports filed against me — not once, but over six times to the state. I was repeatedly reported to social media platforms, flagged to laser companies, and put under a microscope in ways that felt unfair, exhausting, and at times, defeating. I would be lying if I said it didn’t hurt — not just professionally, but deeply and personally.
But here’s the thing about me: I don’t quit.
Instead of crumbling, I got stronger. I doubled down on my values — transparency, integrity, and excellence in care. I stayed laser-focused on my patients and my purpose. I proved, time and time again, that I belonged here — not because someone else said so, but because I earned it.
Those moments tested me more than I could’ve imagined, but they also reminded me why I started Kissy Face in the first place — to create a space rooted in kindness, honesty, and heart. The truth always rises, and here I am — not just still standing, but thriving.
We’ve grown, we’ve flourished, and we’ve continued to pour love and education into our patients. Every challenge only deepened my passion. Every attack sharpened my resolve. And today, I walk into my med spa more proud than ever of what I’ve built — because it’s built on something real.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Honestly? The most effective strategy has been genuine connection. From day one, I’ve built Kissy Face Med Spa by focusing on relationships — not just transactions. We treat every single patient like they’re family, and people feel that the moment they walk through our doors. We listen, we educate, we celebrate their wins, and we show up for them every step of the way. That kind of experience stays with people — and they tell their friends, their moms, their co-workers… and suddenly, the Kissy Face family grows.
Word of mouth has been our most powerful tool — and it’s organic, because we lead with love and results. I also make sure that every interaction — whether it’s a treatment, a skincare consultation, or even just a DM on Instagram — is warm, knowledgeable, and sincere.
We also focus heavily on education. Whether it’s through classes, social media content, or during treatments, we empower our clients with knowledge — and that builds trust. People know we’re not just trying to sell them something; we’re helping them understand their skin and what’s best for it.
