Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Danielle Palmer. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Danielle, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the backstory of how you established your own practice.
Before I started Daily Dose Wellness, I worked for another company and for the longest time I didn’t think I’d ever run my own practice to be honest. After years of working for someone else though I decided enough was enough and I needed to venture out on my own. A familiar saying comes to mind when I think of it actually…a friend of mine always says “you’re either blessed or blocked.” Meaning that if you’re on the path you’re supposed to be on it will be smooth, easy, and you’ll know it. If you’re not it’ll be like smashing your head against a wall trying to make it work. Well, let me tell you as soon as I decided to leave and start my own business it was like walking down the red carpet. Doors flung open and I found my way. I’m not saying it was totally easy because wow it was not. It was a struggle for years…but I always felt like I was on the right path and every hurdle was bringing me closer to my goal. Do not mistake a challenge for being blocked. You’re going to get tested. Do you really want it? Let’s be real, opening any business is a bit terrifying, but if you’re passionate about what you’re doing then you’ll get through it. When I branched out on my own my very first foundation of my new business was that if I was going to provide a service to people then I needed to be the best of the best. I needed to make sure my foundation was rock solid. Even though I’d already been in the field for 7 years at that point, I wanted to make sure I was up to snuff. I decided to reach out to my old trainer here in the USA and a few others I knew, but I wasn’t satisfied with any of the training I was being offered so I reached out to Dr. Lena Subbotina in London who is the step daughter of one of the inventors of SCENAR. I thought surely she would be able to recommend someone in the USA for me to train with, but unfortunately she said that she did not know of anyone who was up to date with the latest trainings in the USA and therefor could not recommend anyone. Rule number 1…if you want to be the best you need to train with the best. So, I hopped a flight to London and started training with the Revenko Academy. I ended up going back for several trainings and got to train with the genius himself, Professor Alexander Revenko, the neurologist behind SCENAR. After my last trip over there I felt so excited about all the new methods I’d learned that I wanted to keep learning more. I plunged head first into Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy, Energy Medicine and Bioresonance and threw in a little Frequency Specific Microcurrent along the way. Rule number 2…never stop learning! Now throughout this whole time I always kept working and doing my very best for all my clients. Once I felt confident in myself though that’s really when things opened up. I felt like once I felt proud of my education and background I could really step into my own. I had always felt like I wasn’t ready or needed to wait until the right moment but really I was just waiting to feel comfortable in my own skin. Rule number 3…once you believe in yourself, everyone else will follow. If you are unsure of yourself or not confident in what you’re saying, even though it may be correct, your clients or customers will not have confidence in you. I really need to thank the people around me for really seeing me before I did though. Always surround yourself with people who will cheer you on, not those who are jealous and hoping you’ll trip. Out of the entire experience I’d have to say I have one major piece of advice that I feel is the most important. That rule is to have integrity. In business there will be ups and there will be plenty of downs, but as long as you’re providing a good service or product and doing it for the right reason the business will come. Especially in the field of health and wellness, if you’re in it for the money you need to get out now. Put your clients first, help people to the best of your ability and the money will come. Just have trust.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Sure thing! My name is Danielle Palmer and I am a Neuromuscular Therapist and SCENAR Therapist. I’ve been practicing SCENAR for almost 12 years now. I provide natural, drug free pain relief and overall wellness for an array of issues from chronic pain, acute injuries or pain, sports injuries etc. My business, Daily Dose Wellness is based in Newport Beach, CA and we work with various other wellness centers and therapists including the Center for New Medicine in Irvine, Sarton Physical Therapy in Tustin and Ascent Adaptation and Regeneration in Newport Beach. We are most proud of the dedication to education that we share. The therapists that represent us are top notch and most importantly really care about helping you. I’d just like to say that if you’ve been suffering with an issue and haven’t found relief then give us a try. You’ll know very quickly whether this therapy is right for you. Just give us 4 sessions and you’ll know.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
I think the most important strategy for growing a great clientele is to care about your clientele. For me, it doesn’t matter who is on my table…could be a famous celebrity, doctor, producer or CEO, they are no different than the stay at home Mom down the street or the patient who is fighting Cancer. They are all important, they all matter and for that hour that they are booking my time I’m doing my best to make them feel better. Don’t get hung up trying to chase more clients. Take care of the ones you have and word of mouth is priceless.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Well, I actually had to do a major pivot earlier this year. My beautiful partner and I decided to buy a house in Northern Idaho. My family lives up there and we loved the area, plus we wanted our little one to experience a more small town, nature filled upbringing. This was definitely a struggle seeing as how I’d spent 11 years building up my reputation and practice down in Southern California! But, family comes first and so we figured out how to make it work. I now fly in every single week to come work on my clients at Daily Dose Wellness as well as our other partner locations. It also prompted me to take steps I’d been planning on for a while and start referring more work and clients to my team. Everyone thinks I’m crazy but honestly it’s not that bad. I usually head out to the airport before dinner and get into Southern California before bedtime. I work as much in the 3 or 4 days that I’m here that I possibly can and then I get to go home and enjoy my family amongst the beautiful lakes and mountains of Northern Idaho. Not too shabby I’d say! Just had to pivot!
